This! They changed the format, every season starts with up and downs now, like some sort of a qualifier. They are NOT November matches anymore....

They gain nothing financially by not letting us watch the VODs, because you don't buy a ticket to see the up and down of the last seasons.

Exactly. Old format had up and down matches before the finals were played. New format has up and down matches after previous season has concluded. These arent gsl nov up and down matches. They are gsl january up and down matches.

Yeah, I remember it saying the Up&Downs were included when I bought my GSL November ticket. Although, I do have a ticket for 2012, I find it messed up for the people who payed for GSL November expecting to see these matches.

They are gsl january up and down matches. but that image wasn't there when GSL Nov started, which is when most people buy their tickets the format image that was shown was the overall season format, which included up/down so this mislead people

So if we pay for a 1 month sub $20, are we going to get cut off 1/2 way? how many GSLs will there be a year?

Also, that 2011 image is incorrect for the November season.

http://www.gomtv.net/forum/view.gom?topicid=208740&cid=0&kind=8 Up&Down Matches A total of 30 players will compete for 10 spots in Code S. These players consist of 16 players who lost in the Code A Ro 32, 12 players who lost in the Code A Ro24 and 2 seeded players. 5 groups of 6 people will be formed. All players in a group play each other. The Top 2 of each group will advance to Code S, the rest will be Code A for next season. For the 2012 series the season now always starts with the Up&Down matches, the first season of 2012 will therefore begin in late December of 2011 with the first batch of Up&Down matches.

No, you get 75 matches but its 70 this season as one player dropped out. (todays group) Usually there's 15 matches per group

Otherwise by itself, it does make a lot of sense, because the November tournament is finished, and the yearly tournament (Blizzard cup) is finished. The up/down is part of a tournament that finishes in January, so it counts towards it.
