On the main topic, they very clearly said gsl nov ended dec 7th, not dec 23rd. you should've known these were part of the new season. not to mention the HD stream is free for these (i guess they should've made the VODs free too) but really this is an insane overreaction. I just think that stuff like this has to be made clear. It's a big change from the content that is normally included in a season ticket and neither did I see an announcement on the paying page nor was it made clear from the schedule. Customers shouldn't have to search every announcement or forum thread to know exactly what they're paying for. So the main reason why I'll reconsider buying a pass for next reason is that I can not be sure of what I'm getting. For example: Maybe they also announced that they can replace regular seasons with special tournaments for which I would have to pay extra, and I just didn't see that announcement because I don't visit the forum regularly?

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() at the very top of the page, this image clearly states that up down determines code s/a players for next season. Lets just be honest with each other for a moment, in this tl;dr age if this image makes sense to you, which it did/does to me, would you really read all the text below?

Didn't you get the memo? GOM has gone from everyone's darling to the most hated evil empire of the SC2 world in overnight. ![]()

What did we get for GSL November? Code S as usual, I didnt mind the 2 round robin even if BO3's are better. We then saw Ro of 48 where only half the games had good casting and so few games had players that don't belong in GSL at all, then round of 32 where only half the game had good casting. Then you get to round of 24 where players either make it to Code S or go to up and down, basically no one loses. Then hey that's it for your season man, buy a yearly pass. I always loved Code A round of 8 and later because these guys are just as good as Code S players and it's awesome to see new and comer play games that means something, but then with 12 players left in the tournament they just qualify. Also I spent the whole year watching every MG as much as I could when I didnt work, bought every GSL, watched Dreamhack as much as possible, watched blizzcon, but I have to buy a pass for the following year to be able to see the final tournament of the year? That was kinda shitty too. I'll have the money to buy the yearly pass, but I didn't expect to have to pay for it on such short notice right before the holiday when I feel like I paid my fair share of GSL all season and paid to see the up and down matches when I bought GSL November.

I cannot find any Up/down vods for November, which was seemingly indicated in their picture. I understand they are claiming these are for January... but what about Novembers? Hmm I thought each season would have to have up/down to qualify for the next season, which is part of what we pay for. Bah. Guess I'll have to wait for my credit card to come in. Sigh. Still unimpressed Gom.

GOM announced the changes months ago... it makes no sense to hate on GOM because you're too lazy to pay attention to long-announced changes to the GSL format going into 2012. That goes for everyone else in this thread complaining about GOM as well.

Anywho, they did have this information out there pretty early in the announcement of their format change and anytime you checked the schedule on the GOM page you'd see "GSL Nov. 11.10.27(Thu) ~ 12.07(Wed)" so I don't feel tricked. Season 1 of 2012 started yesterday! :D

In the situation that gom in the lower paragraph describes, the image should read that it determines code a and code s for the current season, because if it is first (and included on that ticket) thats exactly what it does.

So you are blaming them because you were to lazy to read the paragraph below the image.... I really, really, REALLY don't understand how people are actual upset/blaming GOM? They Clearly announced the changes and are giving free HD stream? The fuck else do people want? John the translator to personally visit you and word by word explain everything? Seriously... That last little rant is not directed completely at you Slusher, just people in this thread in general...

There really is nothing that GOM can do to please you guys. Any move they make, you will probably find something that you don't like and bitch about it. What the fuck does foreigner Code S spots have to do with this topic.
