There should be a wildcard match for the spot if they wanted to eliminate NaNi

Also according to their rules, Here There is NO mention of throwing of games etc... so i have no clue why they can ban NaNi

If that is the direct quote, I am officially pissed off at GOM. I've stood by them and bought every single pass since the first GSL.

But I won't be buying anymore. And it's off to the pirates I go.

They could not have misinterpreted NaNiwa's attitude more. Prize money hunter? NaNiwa has made it very clear that he doesn't give one shit about prize money.

You get like close to 1 grand or so by just qualifying for Code S, as far as i know. I might be horribly mistaken.

About the quote, i don't know if its direct translation or what, but i just saw it and it is related as long as it is true.

This is completely rediculous for Naniwa to be kicked out of Code s...He earned that spot by training 8+ hours a day for, and for succeeding in MLG, and all that is taken away by GOM for an insignificant moral issue...and judging from the tone of the announcement, that they are replacing him with a "professional" player rather than a "prize-hunter", it seems like their decision was affected simply by their dislike of him. Not giving someone their hard earned Code S spot because you don't like him has no place in professional competition...I really hope there is some sort of uproar and GOM reverts their action.

lol... Its hilarious that they are replacing someone that made a short game of probe rushing by someone who will drop if he loses a drone... Idra... well im going to guess his stay in code S will be pretty short lived.

Second point, I don't understand why they are baneing naniwa, if he gets collosus, those banes won't do anything at all... wait banned? Ah, twitter typo.

I do agree that they shouldn't have just given a code S spot away and I think it was overly harsh to take Nani's spot. That said, it is their tournament and their organisation to run as the will... I'll definitely still be tuning in to see some wicked good SCII action.

@Bolded part: Choya was actually banned from the first GSTL, after his ladder shenanigans.


And in addition, for the 100000000th time: there was NO! Code A spot in the ESV tournament in that month. So it actually didn't matter for GSL..

It was still a meaningful game for the tournament and nothing like both 0-4 and duking it out for the 4th/3rd place, and even though there was no code a spot there was still money on the line iirc.

This is exactly how I feel. I can't believe I'm actually legitimately upset over this but I am. Can't wait for Live on 3 tomorrow though for Scoots' take on it though


So true. It's the bias against foreigners. Like when a Korean does massive BM like dropping mules or making manner nexus, imagine if Naniwa (or any other foreigner) would taunt Nestea like that, probably get kicked out of code S.
