no, what Gom did was the perfect response and I applaud them for taking such action. Starcraft is a professional game and we don't need attitudes and disrespect from people like Naniwa.

Just be glad he's not banned for life, as he would if he pulled the same stunt in any Esport in Korea aka sc1

this is wildly ignorant

Why? Isn't it time for esports to get a professional image? Naniwa can come back when he can act like an adult, like a professional.

It seems there actually is a written rule against what Naniwa did. Players deemed to have bad character by the organizers are not allowed to play in the GSL.

I will watch the free stream yes. They can forget about me paying for anything.

tbh i hardly watch GSL anymore because the hours can make the games stale.

doesn't take much to convince me not to watch it anymore.

Quoting something from other thread.

Jinro was offered it awhile ago but he declined because he wants to earn his spot.

Im talking about the next season. Jinro declined it when he thought he wasnt good enough for it. But failed very close on making it into Code A twice after those offers. I think he may changed his mind because of this. If not he will win his Code A Spot anyways! HOPE!

Never taking an invite that isnt based on tournament results.

Seriously ridiculous if it's naniwa. If people are gonna get banned for things like that they should at least have specified rules beforehand so that the players actually know what to follow and not just what they "should".

Its ironic that this is coming from you. You don't see why harsh punishment was needed because YOU are ignorant about professional gaming in Korea, and instead viewed this through your own (western) perspective.

So let me get this straight...

If you try to cheat/exploit the system to get into the GSL like Choya did, you basically have to apologize and eveything is fine.
If you matchfix in games that actually matters for GSL, you get a "temp ban" by your team, not by the league.
And if you proberush in a game that had no other purpose than to take place in a tournament not directly related to the GSL, you lose your whole progress in the GSL and get punished by the league in the hardest way possible

Sorry GOMTV, as much as I respect you, but I think you made the wrong decision.

@Bolded part: Choya was actually banned from the first GSTL, after his ladder shenanigans.

And in addition, for the 100000000th time: there was NO! Code A spot in the ESV tournament in that month. So it actually didn't matter for GSL..

now that i think about it: don't Code S players get a lot of salary from GOM? If someone took a shit in my house, I'd kick them out fast.

Fine by me. Idra was already in Code S once and a lot of Korean players got seeded into pool play at MLGs and invited to other tournaments as well.

LOL, i'm guessing you've never seen any professional sport, because i can name literally thousands of professional athletes that make millions that act significantly worse than Nani did.

Totally agree. We need to set up a petition or some kind of community rally to make some noise at least to how ridiculous GOM is acting in this. They have a terrible format with no rules stating probe rush isnt allowed, then ban a player who follows their shitty rules? Unbelievable really.

A petion for what? Are you fucking serious? GOM can enforce their rules however they please, give me a break.

So what if they can? That doesn't mean we have to agree with it.

Not when he has a stream of people telling him he did nothing wrong. This is why he doesn't change. He isn't reinforced for his awful behavior and he gets away with shit he shouldn't all the time.

Ahh ok so it's official. Well, this GSL thing was fun while it lasted.
