Naniwa just has no tact in his BM. All seem like hissy fits. Can someone check, but it sure seemed like FBH's BM was well received by koreans.

FBH is controversial for his ceremonies in Korea.

Scared? Naniwa is disrespectful. Why do people call him a progamer if he isn't going to put his heart out on every game? It's a shame. If koreans were scared would Naniwa have lost 4 games that day? Stop being so immature.

hahaha... but let's be honest here: how in the world is that not what people want to see?? the fans LOVE drama... wyh is IdrA getting the most attention out of any starcraft 2 player?? Because of his attitude (and his skill too obviously)!! why is combatex?

i mean it's okay to say that naniwa did not act professionally but cmon... nobody can say, that the fans don't want to see this stuff!!

It's pretty obvious Naniwa has some social deficiancies. He might even have mild Aspergers. If he was diagnosed with that, would all his actions suddenly become okay? One of the biggest issues in social situations, is that what people get offended by is entirely up to the person who is offended, and people with a poor understanding of such a situation, say or do things because they dont' find them offensive. I don't see why anyone here gives a shit, why can't they just not like him and move on lol.

Naniwa being unprofessional again. Who would have guessed that he would be like that again? I do hope GOM no longer will invite him to be a seeded player if he were to drop out next season. He should have to make his way through the qualifying tournament to earn a Code A spot once more.

IMO, it's a true bad move, very selfish behaviour by Naniwa...

Sorry, but even if it doesn't matter for the final results, don't you want to show a proper mindset and try to win it anyway? Doesn't it look nice on your results-list to beat (or at least try to) Nestea, even if he doesn't qualify you? Let alone the viewers who paid to see a show and that might feel disappointed right now.

God, some of the progamers out there forget that they have a great job, where they're paid to play... All the "I don't care attitude, i do what I want" can be badass, but not, and especially not in this manner.

Play your best / don't play your best Naniwa, i don't care at all, I won't watch one more game of you or anyone with the same behaviour.

So, they are telling NaNiWa how to play the game? Naniwa is free to do whatever the fuck he pleases as long as he's not cheating. Pulling all your probes definitely is going to lose but if that's naniwa's choice it's fine. There's no restrictions on how to play this game.

Before I'm getting shit: ofc I'm being provoking, but you can't stop someone from doing it. I do think it's a very unprofessional move, though.

People are being way too harsh. This shit happens a lot at MLG's where people will even just not show up for a consolation match because they don't care if they get 13th or 14th. Only reason this is being so discussed so much is because it was between Naniwa and a player like Nestea and the fact that they also have a history together.
Live it up.

You do realize Naniwa is considered one of the most obsessive about winning in meaningful ways players that this scene has right? He just happens to not give a shit about games that he doesn't feel are legitimately competitve and played for a reason.

We don't but he was playing on the Koreans turf. He could've atleast tried to be a pro gamer. People like you need to grow up.

The reaction of the korean scene is ridiculous. End of story.

showmatches are meaningless, yet people watch them.
football teams still play out their games at the end of the season when they're lying midtable, but they're more or less meaningless as well. they're all idiots based on your logic.

Finishing 9th or finishing 12th can mean a lot (of money) in many leagues.

Including this league. I paid for my ticket, I at least expect some effort. And by not trying here, you can lose subscribers and then you lose money to give out in the future, including to give out Code A spots to foreigners.

After Naniwa claimed he wanted to move to the StarTale house because they treat the game more seriously he follows it up with this farce. How do you expect to be treated like a professional when you don't treat Esports like a profession? I agree with MC that maybe some people need to take notes from WhiteRa.

If throwing a game cost Coca his Code S spot; why should Naniwa be treated differently?

The game didn't even matter, how many times did Idra avoid matches which had no meaning?? I think every single one.

Beating Nestea on his home turf would have been incredible for Nani's career, I don't think effort should be based on reward.

Like anyone would believe that...

Naniwa beat him already in BO3 and it was discredited anyway. How is BO1 going to make a difference?

No I don't want to see this stuff. I find Idra as idiot as naniwa when he ragequits a game, or doesn't do his best.
Combatex, i don't even consider him a competitive gamer, just another internet joke that we shoud have get rid off long time ago.

Am i the only one right there that still promotes manner and behaviour over commercial behaviour and douchebaggery? Really ?

Well then he's not fit to be called a pro gamer.

Nani acted like a prick, but it doesn't even matter.

No tourney should have completely pointless matches. It's literally one of the most idiotic things to do. If you're going to show outrage towards a player for throwing a match, at least make sure the match matters more than a ladder game.

I skipped 30 pages to post this. I definitely place the blame much more upon the blizzard cup for having matches that didn't count towards winning the tournament. The same drama occurred before IPL3, to a slightly lesser extent when it was noted how difficult it could be to watch a match, knowing the players might not have given a shit and were just playing for entertainment value and not to win.

I didn't watch all of, nor hear of any matches in IPL where someone deliberately worker rushed in vain to get the matches over with quickly, but I bet some of the foreigner community would go ape shit over it too. Keyword: some; from what I've seen of the Korean reaction to naniwa it sounds like some of the korean fans are upset too. I think both would agree there shouldn't be matches made only for entertainment value.

See boxer vs yellow show match, with everyone getting up and leaving in lines. They COULD have played seriously, but there was no incentive to win, and Boxer knew it would have been a roflstomp. It's not boxer or yellow's fault, it's the entire showmatch.
