Even if we dont like this we r still gonna get this. And Blizz knows that too. We are practically Blizz's bitches.

And some dudes on TL ensured me that expantions won't cost 60 bucks.
|
Everyone complaining about the price without reading the freaking OP or even without ready any comment should get temp' banned, seriously.
I'll wait a bit before pre-ordering it since I want the CE, would be great if we could buy it through TL

@ Invoker - speak for yourself please

again money for "expansion" .... wont buy it. i love the game, but expansion after expansion...
|
Yeah, $60 is lame as hell, but I'm totally going to buy it... I just preordered through this link and hope it drops, but if it doesnt, I'm still not cancelling... need my star crack

Dammit, I know it's high but I also know that I will buy it even if it came with a poisonous spider inside. I am a Blizzard whore. DAMN!!

The pre-purchase policy of Amazon is that if the price go lower at anytime before the release that, you will be charge this amount.

Dustin Browder said in an interview at blizzcon that HotS will cost significantly less than the original game.

So just done reading through 17 pages, and I conclude that the most eager posters seem to generally speaking, be the ones most incapable of reading.
Seriously 10 first pages was if not 50% close to it, with people that failed at noticing anything more than "59.99".
TL admins you seem a bit soft hearted lately letting a lot of, bluntly said, stupid stuff pass.
With that said, great that this is finally up! been waiting :D

Even if they charged $100 for the game and another $100 for each expansion, SC2 would be about the cheapest entertainment I've ever bought on a price-per-hour basis. So, in your opinion, what should be the REAL price of the game, seeing how you think they'd obviously still be underpricing it even if it was $100? p.s. not all of us play the game religiously. p.p.s. I bought a TV for $150 and I think they should charge more because it's way too cheap $/h. Dude, your TV is a medium. If anything you should be comparing how much money you spend on your cable bill, which is probably means you're buying a copy of WoL for 59.99 every month just to have the option of watching some programming that you don't even like. Get real I could argue that the game is also just a medium. (and I wouldn't be alone, that was basically KeSPA's argument in their case vs Blizzard. BW was a game, the actual matches were the content KeSPA made money on)
I don't enjoy the game until I make something happen with it. Its a tool for producing specific RTS matches.
But it doesn't even matter if the analogy holds, having to whip out 3 x $60 to eventually be able to play Legacy of Void is fucking too much for an average young person in 2nd world countries.

im definitely going to pick it up through here. i know a specific release date hasnt been announced but does anyone know a general estimate of around when? like early 2012? mid 2012?
|
Hm, this isn't the Collector's Edition is it?
|
As much as in an expansion, it's still gonna have so much content that it justifies the steep price. If you don't want it, don't buy it. I'll have it in my hands release day.
|
Maybe a mod should add a big huge red text chunk explaining the price and how it's not necessarily "set in stone" yet. It's just a conservative estimate from Amazon -- they don't know the actual price yet. Blizzard has alluded to a lower price being likely for subsequent SC2 titles.
edit: wow LMAO apparently my idea was already implemented, but people seem to be missing the words anyway... ah well! I rest easy knowing the price probably won't be the same as it was for the initial installation

Don't we like pay $100 every so often to take the girl out for a night?
I'd play HotS for way longer than what it'd take me to have a fancy dinner.
Edit: I forgot many of you make money off of mom asking you to mow the lawn.

Eagerly awaiting this great title :D
As long as the collector's edition will also be up for sale trough the TL referral link, I will most definitely be buying it through here. Because I just cannot miss out on the collector's edition awesomeness.
