maybe this is what sc2, overpowered units for EVERY race, to make it more exiting, obv ballancing will be a bitch

Not like they can afford to scan for 3 different cloaked banshees during a 1/1/1 all-in while you're producing off 2 base economy. And if they build a raven, you get to seeker missile all their marines, that can't outrun it due to lack of stim :D.

Wow so Protoss have Scroll of Town Portal in HotS? Sounds good to me. Not sure how I feel about having a replicant, would be nice to supplement. The swarm host, great idea, it'll make players really take it to the zerg and have to respond to some of their unit choices. The warhound and Hellion changes seem really awesome to me, hellions were too flimsy late game and it'd be nice to see more of them

Somehow I don't see them being much of a threat if properly prepared. We all know what happens when a Terran overcommits to a banshee opening. . .

More so if they are 200m/200g cloakshee. Losing just one is going to be huge.

does anyone know how the parasite spell works?
Can you only use it once per viper? or can you do it as many times as you have energy for?

^ You can use it as many times as you have energy for. I played it, and I specifically tested this out, as I saw on Friday a lot of websites, including TL, had the wrong information out about it.

Ocular Parasite costs 50 energy, you can cast it as many times as you want. It won't let you cast it on the same unit again, but that's because once a unit has the eye stalk, it is a detector forever and I guess the game doesnt want you to waste your energy ^^. But with the same viper, yes, you can potentially make every unit you have a detector.

When viper spawns, it has energy to do ocular parasite once.

Will a shredder work alongside a bunker as long as the marines are inside it? Technically it would just be surrounded by buildings then.

Its the same but not really.
An infestor with zealot back up is different than an infestor with zergling back up. A siege tank with archon back up is different than a siegetank with marine backup. If you copy an enemy unit its functionality in the protoss army is completely different.

zerg updates are pretty broken. burrow baneling is way to strong...
also viper infestor combo is too good.

toss is relatively weak and so is terran.

There is no flaw in having Banelings with burrow move, it would just mean that every race needs to be more detection aware in late game. The Infestor already forces this in nearly every match up already. Since, this will only be late game I do not think its completely unreasonable to expect Terrans to build PFs or Shredders + Missile Turrets as well as have Protoss protect their bases with cannons.

It is so late game, I doubt it'll affect many match ups. Protoss already should have observers with their army and Terrans at that point will have so many OCs that they scan spam scans as they do already against burrowed Banes. Or they could build a raven or two.

All in all, I don't see how it'll affect much. If it was a lair upgrade, sure it's imba. I just think a lot of people are not thinking it through.

wait a sec does the replica stay as whatever unit you change it to permanently untill you change back or is it temporary.

4 supply for unit that mines what 6 probes could and have them permanent you wouldnt even have to go through the trouble making a command center and orbital commands just jump straight to the mule stage.

Wish protoss units were changed more seems like gameplay will remain pretty basic deathball which is sort of a shame

Isn't the deathball part of the Toss theme though? I know they just don't want two deathballs bouncing against each other all game but if one race was to have a deathball I would say it should be Toss.

In WoL, it's widely known that the only options protoss have for dealing with mass siege tanks are carriers and vortex. But both of those are taken out of the game in HotS. I don't see anything new for protoss in HotS that helps protoss deal with mass siege tanks.

So...what are we going to do?

For those who don't know, mass tank beats mass immortal because of the splash; you can see for yourself in the unit tester.
