I hate when people compare SC2 and rochambeu. One race isn't fucking supposed to counter another one. | Protoss isn't OP. Their units on the other hand....

Missing out on Blizzcon and just watched all the new stuff. But all i noticed was:

How do you wan to know that, we know little about the new units stats/costs and a ton of balance changes will be made just like in WOL. Personally I am really excited about the new expansion, it's a pitty that so many people see it that dark, but I guess BW players reacted similar to SC2.

I think they should go back to the 1 vespene geyser in sc1. The fact that late game about 80 supply is workers is dumb imo. I think a 1/3 of the supply should be the around the max a person needs late game to have stronger unit compositions and larger battles.
On a side note, protoss units are soo bad. No ones going to live through muta harass and make tempests when zerg tech switch is so easy and brutal. Hydra switch with speed boost will shut down all protoss air big time. Why not give us another useful spellcaster synonymous to the dark archon making templar tech more useful for its cost, specially without KA. No one is really going to make a replicant in hopes of wanting a unit of a different race.

I'd rather read comments than post, and honnestly who here can tell if a unit seems really usefull or imba before trying it.

But man, when I see the tempest, I have to join with those who criticize it : What has it been designed for ? He 's got no utility whatsoever. Who cares dealing with mass mutalisk ? Who goes with mass muta anyway, except in bronze, it's useless vs protoss.

And as showed in the vid, it's clearly the only air unit it can conter effectively, but once again : We don't need it ! Take it back !

Well that and baneling burrow movement. But it will be hive tech and i just worry that it will be "too late" and never used.

Honestly, i had high hopes for a zergling "combat shield" upgrade. Like with marines.

or maybe banelings would come with burrow already upgraded like Lurkers.

small stuff like that would have been awesome.

They said it will be good against any massed air unit. So you can fight vikings and corruptors with it.

The shredder attacks ground and air, has a very large radius and does EXTREME amounts of damage per second. The "not working close to your own units" doesn't matter. It isn't shut off by buildings. imagine a terran on shattered temple get the base in the corner as his third and then put two of them BEHIND a depot wall off and a couple turrets next to them. vs zerg this would completely shut down any chances of doing a run-by. melee / short range attackers won't be able to get past the depot wall to even attack the shredders before getting whipped out and mutas dont have the hp or defence to take them out while taking the damage from it as well as turrets protecting them.

Zerg will never be able to break into a 3rd when the vulnerable entrance can be shut down so easilly.

You have to remember its only does extreme damage to light armored, you can still use roaches to destroy them or outrange them with the new swarm host.
