Replicant: If I wanted to use zerg or terran units, I would play zerg or terran. These things sound like such a pain in the ass to micro: Have to get it melee range of an enemy unit, cast the spell, then get away without losing the replicant. Seems very micro-intensive, especially against concussive shell. So to me this unit sounds like a big APM-dump that I can use to do something that I can also achieve just by changing my race before the match starts. Oracle It's a variant of the overseers, which was deemed to be so boring that it was dropped from the zerg roster. It doesn't kill anything. I see this unit as a kind of "reverse queen". With a queen you have to mechanically tab through all of them on a schedule and use larvae inject to keep your production up. If you use the oracle optimally I guess you'll have one near each of your opponent's mineral lines and you'll have to tab through them on a set schedule and use "hamper workers" to suppress my opponent's harvesting. I don't like managing queens, and the oracle doesn't look much more fun. Tempest It doesn't seem like it adds anything new to the game. I already have two AOE attacks that hurt air units: psi storm and archon auto-attack. I also already have plenty of units that hit ground units with laser beams. And it's going to be big slow capital ship with no abilities so it won't be any fun to micro. | ||
