That would actually be a cool unit. Blizzard indeed needs to introduce shit like this for protoss.

lol.. so what.. is this going to require a stargate and a dark shrine?
surpass the mothership as the hardest and most expensive to tech to unit in the game?

Obviously there to hook immortals into it to give colossus an air attack. They stole hotbid's Hydroach and gave it to protoss <3

That would actually be a cool unit. Blizzard indeed needs to introduce shit like this for protoss. Terran is the only race that has toggleable cloaking (mothership doesn't count, it's continuous within the AoE). Can't overlap races. Robotics units are strong with slow to moderate speed. This unit is fast. Terran is the mine/bomb race. Protoss is not.
Just because something is cool, doesn't mean it fits your race and should be in the game.
A cloaking vulture for protoss is not the best they could do.

That would be ideal, unless this replaces the Colossus, which is most ideal...if they improve the unit art and it makes the game more exciting.

that batman picture practically made my day, thank you sir

first of all i doubt this units will be a damaging unit. We already have void rays and phoenix and carriers.
Im pretty sure this is going to be a spell caster. might Disruption Web or some kind of Shield healing like a medivac( like a portable shield battery, where you would have to micro the unit to regen shields of 1 single unit.).

There are, I think 4 possible ways this unit works.
First possibility:
Small, fast, flying protoss unit. Energy ball in the center of the ring intermittently spurts out inaccurate lazhors that strafe the ground and deal minor AoE around that area. Built at stargate.
Second possibility (most likely in my opinion):
Small, slowish, flying protoss caster. Energy ball in the center is purely aesthetic and is visually representative of the energy bar. Built at stargate.
Third possibility:
Small, average speed, flying protoss specialist. Energy ball in the center deals small damage in AoE in 360 degrees around the ship to flying units. This stacks with other ships of it's kind.
Fourth possibility:
Essentially a replacement to either the phoenix or the void ray, with a few tweaks to make it unique. If Blizzard does this, heads will roll.

Can't wait till they reveal the units at blizzcon. Should be a treat.

Actually, holy shit we don't know that this unit even flies! It could be a hoverer, like the probe or the Soul Hunter from alpha.

After the Zealot leg upgrade we bring you the....Zealot head upgrade!! Merge this with your zealot will give them a new special ability: "Headbutt". Stuns the Zealot and enemy for a short time, cost 0 mind power. So now you can sacrifice a zealot to headbutt a marine all day long until reinforcement arrive.

Balance talk aside, keep in mind that they're just showing off 1 unit each and the harass unit, if there is one, may be one of the ones Blizzard chose not to show. I sense some super bias. Speed prisms are not expensive, one with speed cost less then 3 helions+ blue flame upgrade. Protoss has several good harass capabilities. Storm drop is no more risky than any other drop, you have to be keeping track of your drop and you wont lose it.
Sorry but this just bugged me. I don't have an issue with protoss's harass options (they are pretty good). But a storm drop does cost a significant amount of of resources. And those templar take longer to build, and can be pretty vital to the lategame protoss army if lost. Arguably more vital to a late game engagement than 4 hellions. Therefore the risk. I'm not saying it's not high reward as a successful storm drop is pretty devestating. but it is high risk.
edit: I hope it's an air unit that makes carriers more viable.

It'd be a nice touch if it could dock with the other Protoss air units to either buff them or unlock extra abilities.

WOW!! This looks so cool!!! I really hope it's air; maybe an air version of the reaver?! I can't wait!!!

Economic damage is only really good early game and by the time a protoss has the cabalities to do a risky storm drop the damage can easily be recouped by an opponent who has sufficient Macro.
