That's so wrong... it's clearly an overlord raping a roach, not a hydralisk.

The bulge on top is obviously a shell/umbrella type protection. This is definitely going to be the zerg armadillo, a 2.5 unit morphed out of a single hydralisks. See picture, and imagine it retracting it's extremely wide legs towards the body too.

I think you hit the mark with this one. It seems to me like the part on the back will fit over the unit, with that front curve fitting over the head when pulled down.

My guess would be that this will be a unit with an activated ability that gives it increased armour for a limited time or at the cost of movment-speed/attack. Used as a front-line tank to draw fire to itself while engaging tank/colosus. The head is so much like a hydra that this will almost definitly be a hydra morph, which is a shame as we will have to make hydras. Still, I don't belive hydras will remain the same for HotS anyway, so who knows...

Kind of looks like a burrowed siege unit. I reversed the color range so that you can see the contours more clearly, and also edited in what I'm guessing the outline curvature of the head and front claw look like. Finally I'm also going to guess this is a Roach evolution due to the armored abdomen (somewhat reminiscent of Orb Weaver Spiders).

That this unit looks like its going to be $&#*ing immobile so when you go to attack a base on many maps the Terran and/or protoss etc can now base race you similar to the situation of when you have brood lords on a large map and they don't have to engage your army because your main attack unit is so $%&ing slow.

I'm just hoping this Unit isn't slow as hell like Broodlords.

Nydus?

Wait so you think i can build a Nydus in the enemies Base? To get to the other expansion he decided to attack during our base race?

Huh?

Implying that this unit is probably immobile similar to the broodlord

You would have to have the Nydus already built in your other base Then nydus into the enemies base to create a tunnel to your expo hoping he doesn't camp outside your nydus at the expo when he gets there killing the unitd 1 by 1 as they come out...... he is trying to kill and it pumps unit out one at a time first you'd have to be prepared. second your base would be dead by the time it pumps all your units out.

Third you can't send air units into a Nydus

Nydus can get your army across the map but by the time you screw around with it changing your army positions you've already lost your expos

You're logic is really flawed, you really don't know how to use the Nydus worm..

No you just didn't really understand how i was explaining it

My army is at the enemy base. If i wanted to go back to protect my base i would have to build a nydus there build another nydus in a close location with overlord site or near one of my expos where the Terran/Protoss aren't attacking so my units don't get stomped on their way out.

But while doing this..Yes it takes quite a lot of time to send all your units out you'd have already lost a base or two so its hard to avoid base races with immobile units in certain situations.

Hoping this unit isn't too immobile.

Hmm.. Looks like an artillery unit.

If this and the Terran one both turn out to be morphs/transforms though, I'd be kinda dissapointed.

What I thought of when I first saw the shadow...

I'm not exactly skilled with art, but I found him to be quite cute. His name is Billy. I gave up on coloring.

I got stuck with the back shell being a shell or a "cannon" type thing? If it were a cannon, it'd spew long range acid. I'd have no idea how it'd attack if that weren't a cannon. But it seemed to have a hydra head with roach claws like a lot of other people's thoughts >-<'' However, I did find the claws (amongst its body) to be a more detrimental part of it being a roach evolution.

Just something I noticed about the legs. The head is there because it's pretty clear where it's from. Either way, it looks awesome (as it should).

Ya, because we wouldn't want Zerg to have their own version of a siege tank. Only Terran can be imba.

You forgetting the part that siege tanks suck.

ROFLOLOL?

i would love to here your explanation to why siege tanks suck. as a zerg id gladly trade infestors for tanks any day of the week.

They're a lot weaker than they were in SCBW - which kinda makes you think how stupid whoever is in charge of weapon development has been.

I think its going to be a semi fast (as fast as a roach) burrowing artillery unit, with an attack that does dmg to armored. It's purpose might be to force scans and have Terrans invest more in anti armor units, indirectly increasing our zergling's effectiveness.

That way, roaches and these new units can set up some sort of seige line so that we will have a bit more time microing our zerglings for an attack behind seige tank/marine line.
I could also see late game harassment with an overlord and a couple of these by any wall offs.

I could also see this as some sort of AA cannon, like the spore cannon in the campaign...or a morph with a completely new role. Who knows.

I guess we will have to wait till Blizzcon.

Then your positioning isn't good

You clearly don't understand first off if you play Zerg or play the game at high level you would know that on many maps (large ones) if you have a large amount of brood lords in your army which most Zerg get for their late late game composition engaging the enemy can become a problem because they can avoid your late game army very easily because of the immobility of brood lords and just run to the other side of the map with their mobile army to go attack some of your bases

Sometimes this Situation forces you into a base race because of the immobility of brood lords.

I'm thinking this unit could cause some of the same problems i'm not sure if its going to be a siege unit or not or a burrowed lurker type unit or an acid sprayer aoe type unit. So i'm not certain how it would work out for this Unit yet.

I'm just hoping its not an immobile unit like the Brood Lord.

Fungal isn't going to stop the Army from running away because sending your infestors chasing after their army without brood lords catching up is suicidal.

You just don't understand the game at all it seems...

If the enemy see's that you have brood Lords and the map is fairly large or medium sized map

The enemy Terran/ Zerg/protoss army can easily just avoid your Brood Lord Army (Depending on the Map) And Attempt Base Race its an annoying situation.
