That's so wrong... it's clearly an overlord raping a roach, not a hydralisk.

This is definitely going to be the zerg armadillo, a 2.5 unit morphed out of a single hydralisks. See picture, and imagine it retracting it's extremely wide legs towards the body too. ![]() I think you hit the mark with this one. It seems to me like the part on the back will fit over the unit, with that front curve fitting over the head when pulled down. My guess would be that this will be a unit with an activated ability that gives it increased armour for a limited time or at the cost of movment-speed/attack. Used as a front-line tank to draw fire to itself while engaging tank/colosus. The head is so much like a hydra that this will almost definitly be a hydra morph, which is a shame as we will have to make hydras. Still, I don't belive hydras will remain the same for HotS anyway, so who knows...

If i wanted to go back to protect my base i would have to build a nydus there build another nydus in a close location with overlord site or near one of my expos where the Terran/Protoss aren't attacking so my units don't get stomped on their way out. But while doing this..Yes it takes quite a lot of time to send all your units out you'd have already lost a base or two so its hard to avoid base races with immobile units in certain situations. Hoping this unit isn't too immobile.

Am,it looks nothing like it. Fan-made model maybe is without large armored carapace, but many details are similar

If this and the Terran one both turn out to be morphs/transforms though, I'd be kinda dissapointed.

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() I'm not exactly skilled with art, but I found him to be quite cute. His name is Billy. I gave up on coloring. I got stuck with the back shell being a shell or a "cannon" type thing? If it were a cannon, it'd spew long range acid. I'd have no idea how it'd attack if that weren't a cannon. But it seemed to have a hydra head with roach claws like a lot of other people's thoughts >-<'' However, I did find the claws (amongst its body) to be a more detrimental part of it being a roach evolution.

On a more serious note, hope its a lurker type siege unit.

Either way, it looks awesome (as it should). dont forget the destructible rocks on its back, can burrow disguised as destructible rocks ![]()

That way, roaches and these new units can set up some sort of seige line so that we will have a bit more time microing our zerglings for an attack behind seige tank/marine line. I could also see late game harassment with an overlord and a couple of these by any wall offs. I could also see this as some sort of AA cannon, like the spore cannon in the campaign...or a morph with a completely new role. Who knows. I guess we will have to wait till Blizzcon.

You clearly don't understand first off if you play Zerg or play the game at high level you would know that on many maps (large ones) if you have a large amount of brood lords in your army which most Zerg get for their late late game composition engaging the enemy can become a problem because they can avoid your late game army very easily because of the immobility of brood lords and just run to the other side of the map with their mobile army to go attack some of your bases Sometimes this Situation forces you into a base race because of the immobility of brood lords. I'm thinking this unit could cause some of the same problems i'm not sure if its going to be a siege unit or not or a burrowed lurker type unit or an acid sprayer aoe type unit. So i'm not certain how it would work out for this Unit yet. I'm just hoping its not an immobile unit like the Brood Lord. Fungal isn't going to stop the Army from running away because sending your infestors chasing after their army without brood lords catching up is suicidal. You just don't understand the game at all it seems... If the enemy see's that you have brood Lords and the map is fairly large or medium sized map The enemy Terran/ Zerg/protoss army can easily just avoid your Brood Lord Army (Depending on the Map) And Attempt Base Race its an annoying situation.
