This unit looks exactly like a concept by Mr. Jack (funny enough, the same artist of the fake zerg silhouette some days ago).

I'll try to search it, but I SWEAR he had concepts for some bio-artillery unit, similar to the giant cockroach from Starship Troopers.

I can't really guess its function, but judging by the vague curvature that's visible, it's possible it will be something that can transform into a ball and roll around... armored banelings wouldn't really make much sense... maybe this is Blizzard's way of compensating for lack of hydra speed upgrade >.>

I've got to agree with the camp that sees this as some kind of seige unit. Which would be cool in my book. We're not likely to get Lurkers in my opinion, and a seige unit could perform the same tank-like role of zoning out an area on the map.

Of the suggestions that have been made so far, though, I think being able to plant destructable rocks would be the most amusing.

Looks like a hive unit that uses ranged Attack. If im right i like the idea with it. Attack upgrades don't Transition well late game.

Melee upgrades shouldn't be so obvious of a choice.

I was also hoping that if Blizzard is/was adding a Lurker type Unit to Multi-player that they would take away orbital Scans so the Terran couldn't leave their base without Ravens unless they want to take a Risk..... -.- Make em pay.

I know that sounds OP But i'm thinking they should give Terran less cloak detection.
