I will have to play the ignorance card because I only play LAN on Broodwar. Never had decent enough internet to actually play online. What did this Savior guy do?

He colluded with Korean mobsters to fix professional brood war matches to rig bets.
To quote Liquipedia directly:
The Match Fixing Scandal was an incident in which Korean pro players illegally fixed and bet on professional Starcraft matches. The players were approached by online betting websites and agreed to throw games for financial gain, either from the money the websites paid them, or by betting against themselves. These activities are strictly illegal under Korean law. The 11 players involved were banned from professional gaming, and some of them face criminal charges and the possibility of jail time.
Setting aside the crisis that he very literally could have destroyed all credibility of esports, hundreds of people lost thousands of dollars etting on fixed matches. saviOr was one of the most loved progamers of all time. Imagine if Nestea was caught rigging blizzcon. No, imagine Nestea won blizzcon and over half of all tournaments he entered. Imagine he takes home 6 GSL championships for two years straight. Then he goes into a slump. His fans would be as die hard as they come. Every game they would cheer, love him and pray (even the atheists) that he would win and regain that magic he used to have).
Then it came to light that he was rigging matches. Worse- he was a broker for others to rig matches. The years of come back hopes and dreams of hundreds if not thousands of fans were fraudulent.
saviOr spit in the face of people that loved him. Remember his glory but curse his name.
So, comparing someone to saviOr, unless your context is extremely clear (His play was as brilliant as saviOr in 2006 for example); It is an egregious insult to compare someone to saviOr. Hearing he is playing amateur brood war on Afreeca or playing SC2 is undeniably interesting but if he were to return to progaming under a loophole: His fans would have to have no memory, no brains or the biggest hearts in the world.
Convicted progamers: By.1st DarkElf go.go Hwasin Justin Luxury sAviOr ShinHwA type-b UpMaGiC, YellOw(ArnC) (NOTE: Not the Yellow that plays SC2)

Very well said It truly is sad. Power corrupts, eh?
If I were a progamer, I would be the happiest dude in the world.

Would you say the same after being the (disputably but this is my opinion) very best progamer to ever play then see your career slowly slip away?
I hate him because of what he did, not because of why he did it. Power corrupts, pretty much.

Oh and not to go too far away from the subject of SC2- I don't know exactly when NA will start Season 4 but for SEA it has already begun. So anywhere in the next .01 to 24 hours.

Yeah it is down at the moment. 0.0

How do Zergs feel about using Spine Crawlers and Spore crawlers to push against Protoss and other Zergs?
I've been using it a bit against Protoss that depend heavily on air units, creating a creep highway and parking spines and spores outside their base / attacking their outside wall off while i start trading my army for his to create a more cost effective trade and unless they've straight rushed colossus / got a fair few immortals they generally cock up a response to it.

I remember in.. GSL3, I think, IdrA used a strategy like this that came to colloquially be known as "Giraffe Migration". This would be in Group D, Ro64, Idra v Choa game 2 on Steppes of War. He + Show Spoiler [if you haven't seen GSL3 for som…] +used Overlords and Lair to accelerate his creep spread to combine hydralisks with spine crawlers.
He didn't use Spore Crawlers, but the idea is similar. Especially against Forge Fast Expand, which has trouble moving out and being aggressive, a quick lair for creep drop and spinecrawler pushing was also used by NesTea in this game http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors3/vod/65228 + Show Spoiler +brutally crushing anyproprime.we .
You'll note that the normal support for overlord/spinecrawler is hydralisk due to the synergy with creep spread and the somewhat more mobile anti-air.
+ Show Spoiler +

it was freaking amusing because you can spread creep sooooooooooo fast and then get at his base with 4-6 spines and mass ling (if he went 4gate you hard countered it, and if he went for stargate just get hydras and push in with hydra+ling+spines)....

If someone says GG and leaves the game, and you type something in return while you still are in the game (not back into the battlenet lobby yet ) will the person who left the game see what you wrote or not?
|
Nope you have to message them out of game for them to see it. Also their replay cuts off when they leave so there isn't a record of you saying it either.

few months ago i found a software, which automatically "adjusts" the monitor depending on the current time (makes it more "yellow"). i recently set up my new pc and unfortunately forgot the name of the software.
does anybody know ?
