Not sure if this warrants a thread but theres a few other 1.4 threads so il go ahead:
There is a new option in 1.4 called Enable Mouse Sensitivity, that "enables setting a custom mouse sensitivity to overide the setting from the operating system".
My mouse is set at 6/11 with accel disabled using 800dpi, however, with starcraft at 51% mouse sens (fullscreen or otherwise), checking this option makes a very noticable change in my mouse movement speed. With the setting disabled, my mouse is some 20-30% faster.
Does anyone know why this is? I also did not hear anything about this in patch notes etc.

its the same for me... have you ever done a reg edit fix to completely remove mouse acceleration. That may help

Definitively does not warrant its own thread. The mouse sensitivity in sc2 has always overrided windows. Now they just gave you an option to use windows sense instead (I think many people appreciate this as a lot of drivers for pro mouses have much better sensitivity settings than the one slide in sc2).

Why is windows sensitivity different than sc1 @ 6/11 and 51% with all accel disabled using the same DPI setting? That is my question

Probably because of the game resolution? Smaller resolution makes the mouse go faster, as there are fewer pixels to cover.

I run at 1920x1080 both ingame and on desktop. The difference is massive, i noticed it immidiatly when i unchecked the option

Hmm. That does sound like a bug. Mouse sense, if the box is unchecked, should not differ when you alt tab from sc2 to windows afaik.

This might help with some of the issues Mac users have with mouse sensitivity. It's been a while since I messed with it, and I can't check the changes from work, but from what I recall various programs that allowed you to adjust the acceleration curve didn't work with SC2 because it reset all the mouse settings on start-up.
In the past one of the solutions was to use Bumblebees' program (Mac Mouse Woes) which constantly checks and resets the settings to what you want - however this check box should allow other solutions to work, which would be nice.

It doesnt, but checking the box and unchecking it makes a massive difference inside the starcraft window
