Also I'd like to point out that you have a lot of free time, but it's cool. Great job.

![]() (technically shouldn't be possible because that takes 68 seconds, but with Chrono, Larva, and Mules, hehe it's doable)

I actually was surprised at the big difference between Masters and GM because I thought that macro would start to even out by masters but the difference seems to come later in the game so I'm betting that it comes from GMs taking expos faster/using them better.

By SQ, I'm apparently above-average diamond, and I'm currently in plat, so it's good to know that I'm right in thinking it isn't my macro holding me back. ![]()

The second thing is the diffrence between masters and GM. That the diffrence is that big is just very surprising. I knew that the macro diff was there but not on the diffrence of 20 workers. Ofcourse a study like this isnt complete unless you analyze a bigger set of games played but given that is near to impossible and that this shows clear results overall i find it very belivable and reliable Good Work :D

Does queuing units count them as spent resources, and if so does SQ become incorrect when you que units? How many games did you sample? I'd argue you should sample about 20 since it'd give you a reasonably broad range accounting for days you were tired, days you were baller and everything in between. There are Plat players with your SQ score so you're not totally alone. It could suggest your build orders, strats and micro may not have received the same level of attention. I know when I play aggressively (Diamond league here) my macro takes a major slip compared to games where I more passively defend.

Does queuing units count them as spent resources, and if so does SQ become incorrect when you que units? Yes. Unspent resources are, afaik, the arithmetic mean of what the Minerals + Gas counts say, over the whole game, and as the amount of money that is shown is reduced when you queue, it probably counts as "spent" money. Keep in mind though that even some of the best players in the world queue up units, much to Day9's dismay. (usually it's only cheap units though, queuing up expensive units should be avoided as much as possible) Also, as always in statistics, the smaller the sample size, the less you can say about the population (all of your games) and there's a bunch of random factors involved as well, like how well you played, how well your opponents played and a lot more. Great OP. I just took stats and probability last semester and this is a fascinating way to apply all that.
