Started out there and watching replays that definitely happened alot cause I would turtle, max out, then push. We'd both have over 10k minerals by the 25 minute mark unspent, although I would usually triple or even quadruple number of workers built (once I build 110 workers as zerg, and the other dude just built 20).

"Note that while this is a measure of the number of workers constructed by the end of a game (rather than an actual measure of workers at any stage of a game) it shows the expected profile for worker production across a game." Those players that made 160 workers are probably those who had to remake from losing a crapton of workers. I read that part, but he did not have a way of knowing the highest workers at any point, so I don't get where he got the "expected profile" from.

Overall the most beautiful thing about it is that you dont even need to parse a replay to get the most practical information. Ingenuity beats data overkill. As some people have said, it seems hard to automate this from the replay file (the replay file doesn't seem to save that information). However, sc2ranks probably can get this done pretty easily, as it gathers its info from the match history.

So idra's result is absolutely not impressing. Weirdly enough, the game with the lowest score 79.1, was a very short game in which I did a 4 gate + prism against a 1-1-1. I macroed very well in that game. It seems your formula isn't well adapted for short games. Yea i took my latest 7 games and i got a score of 89.522. And even got a game with 97.997 SQ score O.o (this was a 15min game). My macro isnt THAT good, i often have quite a few minerals stacked up after battles and such, but these numbers seem really high compared to the different leagues. I'm certainly nowhere near the macro of IdrA so i dont really understand...

Could factor game length into it? You could dump each SQ figure into certain time frames to compare. I doubt you could pull 89 in a 25-30 minute game. I think anyone could pull high spending efficiency in a cheese game. (I guess that explains why a lot of low skill players do it hahahaha) Of course there could be anomalies like noob bronze players 1 basing the entire 30 minute length.
