No hate, no bashing, just keep that shit away. Well, I'm glad Sixjax chose to disclose the whole story instead of leaving the public in the dark with a vague statement like that.
Major has to realise that there are consequences to his actions (beyond just being kicked off his team - which happened often before and doesn't seem to be sufficient punishment), and I personally think that misbehaviour on the scale he has shown deserves public scrutiny. The scene should know what kind of person Major is.
|
Exactly. Why should this kid get a free pass when he was the one that brought this upon himself?
He's a cancer upon the scene. Who cares if he's good? There are plenty of good players that are actually like-able personalities in the scene. This guy isn't. At all.
I guess raw talent just isn't enough anymore. Sucks for him.

To me, anyone who signs a contract agreeing to do something and then doesn't is at fault. While I don't know him personally, Major has a history of lying and dishonest behavior. Hence this news isn't all that surprising.
I am just desperately hoping that everyone will realize that his talent simply isn't worth the risk of signing him. Until he grows up it will be the same story over and over. To me, this is an important step for pro gaming teams to take. You have to consider the character of the player in addition to his ability.

What a sordid affair. Did anyone really think Juan was going to transform into a professional when he joined Sixjax? Let this be a warning to other teams who might be thinking "this time will be different."
|
whats his mum doing in all of this? "juan and his mother agreed to a 15 month contract" - if it was my child i would clap the fucker round the head and tell him to suck it up? Clan hopping is one thing inside a game, its a little bit different when your playing around on such a big scale like this, money, sponsors and organisations being disrupted and put down. the guy needs to wake up, not before he disappears from pro gaming altogether though.
|
This guy got what he deserved. He makes it seem like it's his birthright to go to Korea and when things don't go his way he starts bitching and acting up. How professional.
|
Wow, Sixjax has handled this very well. I cant imagine Major being picked up by a major team, similar to Destiny, their attitudes just prevent them from working with a greater organization.

Destiny looks like the consummate professional when you compare him to Major/Terran.
Plus... people actually like him as a personality. I think we'd be hard pressed to find somebody who likes Major for his.

Destiny's attitude is not like Major's at all. Destiny chooses to not be tied down, and forced into a persona that comes with being a representative of sponsors.
Major however agreed to terms and acted poorly. Then while acting poorly still expected to be given opportunities that require an understanding and level of trust that he just wasn't showing Sixjax.
I wish Major the best because he does have very good play, however his personal involvement in the community is not something that makes me want to become a fan. This was handled very well by Sixjax and I'm sure everything was done to come to an understanding however sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Just read the update, this is honestly disgusting to me that someone who is getting paid to play would act in such a way. Props to Sixjax for clearing all this up.
Major really needs a reality check, being a professional gamer MEANS being professional, they aren't just sitting around playing random games and getting paid for it. I for one have completely lost any respect for major, sure hes a good player but wow, just wow.
What a stinking attitude this little boy has.

His career in SC2 is over as far as I'm concerned because that kind of attitude doesn't belong in pro gaming.
|
Man major really his a little kid, does he have no brain what so ever, if you sign a contract you goto follow it or you get punished its as simple as that, how can someone be so naive to think they can get a pay raise and abuse thier team mates and managers.
Major is a good player, but he needs to sort his shit out and realise hes just another guy not some god that can do what he wants.
|
What I find most insulting about this is, sixjax knew his personality, yet still offered him a paid salary, the possibility to go to Korea for playing a game he's ''Ok" at (let's face it, he's decent, he's not amazing), and that alone is just an amazing opportunity for someone.
And he repays them by spitting in their faces with disrespect and immaturity.
What a joke, that's garbage. This is what we don't need in the community. People like this are also hurting esports as a whole.
|
Thank god sjg didn't send major to korea. Can you imagine how his bad behavior would reflect upon both his team and the foreign scene? I would be surprised if any team picks him up after this debacle.
|
Wow after reading the update from sixjax everything has changed once again. I hope everyone who has been blindly assuming Major was correct will go back and read the update. If what sixjax said is true then once again majors actions has directly affected his advancement in e-sports. Majors biggest setback seems to be himself. Either way thanks for the clarification sixjax!

Idra's behavior recently hasn't been much better than major's yet major is the one that gets all the hate.

Destiny, apart from his language, is actually someone most pro teams would love to have on their team. He's personable, has a huge fan base, is articulate/funny, is good at the game and a willingness to improve.
Major is just an entitled prick that whines when he doesn't get his way. There is pretty much nothing similar to them right now except that they are both teamless, although AFAIK Destiny has chosen to be so.

What a joke, that's garbage. This is what we don't need in the community. I know. This must really suck for Artosis. The guy put his good name on the line for this scrub... only to have him act like he always has.
Major seems like a little kid who grew up without an older brother or father figure to put him in place every now and again. A true tragedy in our modern society. Coddled by his mother with nobody to teach him what being a man is.
Just the fact that he would shit all over a contract that his MOTHER put her name on the line shows how much respect he has for his parents... let alone his employer/friends/etc.

Idra isn't an ass to his team that makes them entirely different. Idra gets mad because he knows he can do better while major just lashes out at everyone if he doesn't get his way so they are not the same at all.

idra bm's every game and fenix steals from his teammate and yet it's major who gets dragged through the mud? i know the perception is that he's a liability, but when you air out a lot of petty things you're only contributing to it
