Well I can't get him to do much, i think i need to buff his vX stats or something. Its okay because my RayWay is farming elitist asshole cup pretty well, and I got a hotshot new free agent finally.

Put them up for sale on the 'market'... I sold some guy who had decent stats but wasn't winning shit, poor bugger probably thought he was getting a bargain for $10, when really the guy had a $1000 per day contract for another 28 days...

Are there any stats influencing that? It is so annoying to have coinflips strategies, really; all you can do now is getting players with good stats no matter what and then put them into tournaments with basic strategies.

I'm going to get full dedication with all my players now and then let them train the shit out of each other, I'm really convinced that strategies don't really matter at all, just for very specific things.

In response to the bolded section, I would assume that your players scouting abilities would have an impact on what you mentioned. If you player can't get accurate scouting information they don't have a good picture to base their decisions off. I am not certain, but clearly the scouting stat would improve the information gained from scouting.

For longer tournaments you should keep an eye on your endurance, I am really just lucky he has such high stats all around and I could re-sign him for cheap.

Well that is what I thought as well but they all have decent scouting stats ( did look for that when acquiring them ) and they all see the workercount to at least 95% and always see when they are behind etc, they just don't do that. In the example I stated yesterday where I went 100% army all the time and then 100% eco when 1% behind they never got any economy at all, even if they had a workercount like 25(coming from 100% economy in the early game) vs 40, they just never reacted to what they saw. Maybed scouting is one thing and reacting the other, but what is reacting then ... ? I mean, they have decent stats after all and are good at macro / micro / multitasking and vX, they do OKAY with normal strategies and as I said one guy even was top 2 ELO peak, so it's not that my players are all too bad. Finding out a good way to build strategies was never harder. xD But anyway, if someone has any tips or found out something: please post, until that I'll just adjust the basic strategies a bit according to the race differences and try to get the dedication up to train my players into monsters.
