Going to imagine he plays in GSL again and hope he qualifies. This is excellent news, glad its not just a Huk being recruited ^_^ Idra should already have a Code A seed from Anaheim.

I'm sure you would get more information if you talked to some of their ex-stars like frod or marn. You think TL would be so compliant with EG if underhanded things were at stake? TL has the community on their side, just look at the forums and the mass amount of anti-EG sentiments. If something shady was going down, we more likely than not would have heard of it. The fact that we didn't leaves really only 2 possibilities - Nothing shady happened - Huk is as much to blame about not telling the truth if something shady did happen, because every account of this situation points to all of the ducks being in a row here. And with the backlash EG got with Puma, I highly doubt they would have risked ANOTHER run around, ESPECIALLY with a guy like Huk from the one and only TL. Just doesn't add up. I'll lean towards the "nothing shady happened" side. Call it a spider sense.

You could have cut this bullshit way sooner if everything you had to announce was a player switching teams. You realize that they WERE hyping more than a player switching teams. The hype was for Puma / Idra / Huk + more to come in Korea...Please at least read the announcement before bashing it.

But I would like to request that, regardless of how you feel about EG, you please don't think differently about HuK because of this change - as you can see, his former teammates and management at Liquid certainly don't. I'm sure some of you may think that you'll never be able to see EG.HuK the same way you saw Liquid`HuK. But, before you jump to any conclusions, please, just give it a try. He's still HuK. And after all, the concept of him, IdrA, and PuMa competing together in Korea should spark at least a little bit of intrigue in even the most ardent of EG anti-fans." -Alexander Garfield, Owner of EG HuK will make his EG debut later this week alongside EG.PuMa at the Intel Extreme Masters GamesCom tournament in Cologne, Germany, after which he will return to Korea to continue his Code S run under the EG flag/travel to EG's North American training house to prepare for MLG Raleigh with IdrA, PuMa, and the rest of the team. The details of EG's Korean training facility will be released in the weeks leading up to October - and don't worry, we won't put you guys through another countdown for that announcement ![]() -Evil Geniuses Your talking about two separate things here. The TL community is different from team. It's going to be interesting to see how those 3 do on their own in Korea, but you need more practice players for them in Korea. Sure, Puma and HuK can always look at their rolodex, something that Greg didn't really have the luxury of doing in Korea. I see what you are trying to do with the endorsements, but it's hopeless case. People will take it for how they want. Just let it be.

Quit trying to cause a bunch of drama by saying he's ditching friends for money, EG "stole" him, it wasn't amicable, etc. It was HuK's decision, and his alone. It doesn't matter if you agree with him or not, just cheer him on instead of getting all riled up for no reason at all. The guys at Liquid have said they understand his decision, of course they wish he would stay, but life goes on. This is almost undoubtedly the best career decision for him, and its not like he's severed his relationship with any of the Liquid guys doing so. He will continue to be friends with them, but will continue to move forward for the future. Congratulations HuK! I hope you continue to progress more as a pro-gamer and continue being the player we know and love. I think most people are just choked that he chose money over skill. I dont think anyone can argue that the his new EG house < OGS TL house training wise. Us true fans actually wanted to see huk win a GSL, i couldnt give 2 craps about how much money any of my real friends make, im not friends with them because of how much money they have, just like im not fans of people because of how much money they make. I can respect his decision, but i dont have to agree with it, in my mind he chose money over skill.

Selling out to me is when you monetize something and stop doing what it is you became famous/respected/etc for. I simply don't see how Huk moving to EG constitutes as selling out in the slightest. I really would have rather seen Huk stay but its the reality of the world. EG did nothing wrong in the case of Huk or Puma. Huk's contract was coming to an end (and his team was aware of his talks with diff teams) and Puma was unsigned (lack of communication with team lead lies at fault with Puma imo). And everyone saying you would have never left. Well that's you, for every person that would have stayed in his situation, there will be a person that would have left (if not more, judging by the offer Nazgul described). Get over yourselves and accept that as SC2 grows things like this is bound to happen.

It's one thing to be living the dream of playing as a pro gamer in Korea, but it's another to be living 6-to-a-room in a training house, traveling all the time and not in style either. These guys need to be able to game and also have a life, if this is going to be their life. I'm thinking, though, that they need more players in that Korean house. Who's next? What kind of budget does EG have? If they haven't been in touch with oGsMC yet, I think I'd be surprised. Good friend of both Huk and Puma and already looking for outside support for his foreign travel from SK. Somebody is eventually going to offer him a salary big enough to let him marry his gf.

Welcome to the real world broseph, people prefer to get paid for their work so, you know, they can enjoy life and retire one day. Pleasing some 14 year old fanbois who hate eg for whatever reason doesn't pay the bills. Exactly... get over your blind EG hate and realize that for HuK this was most likely a no brainer decision. If you truly support HuK and want to see him succeed then it should not matter what team he plays for. Obviously HuK had a strong bond with TL and oGs and he must have had many reasons to make the switch. I am worried that being taken out of the oGs house may hinder HuK's progress but hopefully him and PumA can utilize their connections and still practice against a wide array of korean pros. Also, I'm really excited to see IdrA back in Korea, hopefully with an improved attitude.

EG just got a nice team house in AZ and IdrA said he'd only go back if Korea got a SC2 culture shock like it did for BW. Is he just not happy with his results and wants a better practice environment? Prolly realised he wasnt making more money outside of korea and in fact has been getting worse and worse results...no one even expects him to contend for the top spot in big tourneys anymore. Someone like Idra does the best in a korean-like practice environment. Im sure hes prolly not content with being mediocre anf he's not gonna get any better in NA

One year ago, when HuK became Liquid`HuK, we at EG were left wondering what could've been. We spent the past twelve months watching from the sidelines as HuK, thanks in large part to excellent support from Liquid, went from MLG Champion, to Code A, to Code S, and most recently, became Champion of DreamHack and HSC III. So now that he won all that we decided to take him In the wise words of some old scholar, if you can't beat them, buy them.
