O so if another company came to you and offered 3 times more money to work for them doing the same exact job, you wouldn't take the offer cause thats selling out huh. Welcome to the real world broseph, people prefer to get paid for their work so, you know, they can enjoy life and retire one day.

While this is no doubt true, I think it's unfairly dismissive to treat being on a pro gaming team the same as being in a regular 9-5 job. The situation should be compared to any athlete taking the highest available contract in the prime of their career. Some do end up regretting it, especially when they get older, and I'm sure some do not.

Depends what you want out of your career tbh. Do you want it to be the happiest it could have been and most fruitful? Or would you gain more happiness and comfort from being set up quite well for the rest of your life in monetary terms?

Personally, i would rather be the happiest i can be and have less money. But not everybody is the same.

So Liquid stole Huk (as well as all their other players) when they signed him a year ago? And no I've never heard steal used in that way, that's retarded.

I thought huk was a free agent? And anyways I don't think you're getting it lol.

you've really never heard steal use that way? how old are you?

we're at the store buying cucumbers. there is one cucumber left. you see it. I run up and grab it. you: "you stole that cucumber right out from me.".

we're at an auction, we both want a puma doll. some guy bids 10 thousand. you make a gigantic bid, 5 million!

"100 billion!", I shout. I stole the puma doll from you.

If he was a free agent how could they fucking steal him. That's your word, not mine. You say it's semantics when in reality it's just you using a charged word to try and further discredit a team you dislike.

What? Are you retarded?

Huk was a free agent when liquid signed him... not when EG took him from liquid, lol

And if someone beat me at an auction that's not stealing, that's winning an auction you buttfrustrated little boy (Sorry, thought I should bring age into it too). That analogy was weak.

apparently you are too dumb to understand that words have multiple meanings and don't always have to be used 100% literally

In professional sports, a free agent is a player whose contract with a team has expired and who is thus eligible to sign with another club or franchise.
Hence Huk was not a free agent...

.......what? HuK's contract with Liquid expired, hence why they were trying to negotiate new terms/salary etc. EG picked up HuK AFTER his contract with liquid expired and he WAS a free agent.
Read the post again. EG bought out the remainder of HuK's contract. His free agency should be irrelevant, since it never occurred.

EG went through the correct channels and handled this as well as possible.

Yes, that is what Alex said.

Are you implying they didn't?

EG takes a player that is already on a team. Seems like business as usual for EG.

Will TL send another Player to Korea?

TLO might not be ready,
Sheth 2nd try? unlikely
or will they stay with Hero and Jinro?

imo there needs to be a foreign codeS liquidator -.-

It's sad how everyone is hating on EG. This would be the LAST THING HuK would want. I'm excited to see IdrA's play increase over in Korea. He needs to return to his spot as one of the best foreigners.

You're already assuming that he's going to be less happy with EG, which you have no idea about.

I honestly would have rather seen a Liquid+EG house, but getting Idra, Puma, and Huk to practice together is amazing too.

You kids are sooo delusional. Dude, Huk barely even sees his teammates in the first place... the only one he did was Jinro. He was off living in korea, the rest of TL are scattered across the world with clearly little to no desire to join Huk in korea. If he talked to any of them online he can still do that, I highly doubt they are going to be babies about it like the fanbois here. Business is business. The object of this stupid game we play called real life is to make money. If a company offers you tons more money to do the same job, you take it, your coworkers (teammates) would do the same and won't blame you for it.

If by takes you mean...

- Goes through the proper channels
- Collaborates with the team on the other end of the transaction
- Buys out the remainder of Huk's contract, paying TL whatever it is it wound up being
- Offers Huk a salary that he has determined to be "life changing"
- Promotes two of there three star players with an engaging story (iDra and Huk) while promoting their teams top tier players (Puma included with the other two) in a Korean endeavor that we still have yet to receive full details on.

Yeah, EG at it again.

Have you read how hard it was for him to leave TL behind? He didn't want to leave. There's only one reason why he's left and it isn't because he's going to enjoy living with IdrA & Puma over who he was previously.

IdrA back to Korea is the best thing to come out of this whole ordeal. Can't wait to see him get back on track to become Top foreigner again.

Doesn't matter what HuK wants, what matters is how people react and change allegiances. What did he expect when he cashed out to a team and player lots of people dislike? I can't handle the EG promo shot, because I like HuK so much and Idra's just a whiney ugly baby.

I want to know more about IdrA returning to Korea and indefinitely the GSL. EG just got a nice team house in AZ and IdrA said he'd only go back if Korea got a SC2 culture shock like it did for BW. Is he just not happy with his results and wants a better practice environment?
