This is the way professional sports grows. When Huk's salary goes up, that's a good sign that a lot of other salaries will also go up, which is great for eSports and particularly the players. It's one thing to be living the dream of playing as a pro gamer in Korea, but it's another to be living 6-to-a-room in a training house, traveling all the time and not in style either. These guys need to be able to game and also have a life, if this is going to be their life. I'm thinking, though, that they need more players in that Korean house. Who's next? What kind of budget does EG have? If they haven't been in touch with oGsMC yet, I think I'd be surprised. Good friend of both Huk and Puma and already looking for outside support for his foreign travel from SK. Somebody is eventually going to offer him a salary big enough to let him marry his gf. Very good post. It will be interesting to see what comes together for the EG Korea house, and what happens to the Arizona house. It seems kind of standoffish to believe the AZ house can be worth while if their top players are in Korea, but there's still a ton of undisclosed information that will surely bring more light to this aspect.

This is a great opportunity for EG. Now they've got Huk in their lineup, all the other foreigners on the team (heck, the resident korean as well) will be pushed to achieve his level of play. Idra, with their rivalry, will be especially pumped, since they'll see each other every day once the training house goes up. Also, by earning more, Huk has more pressure to give more to his work and to the game (not that he wasn't already).

HuK's contract with Liquid expired, hence why they were trying to negotiate new terms/salary etc. EG picked up HuK AFTER his contract with liquid expired and he WAS a free agent. EG went through the correct channels and handled this as well as possible. Yes, that is what Alex said. Are you implying they didn't? If something shady was going down, we more likely than not would have heard of it. Liquid is an exemplary organization, they're not going to take parting shots.

What kind of economic law is that? This reminds me of people trying to sell financial investment products arguing that "it goes only in one direction: up, up and up" :D

- Jinro will be the last foreigner in Liquid/oGs house. - EG teamhouse USA will lose their best player. - HuK wil prob. have way less training partners. - Liquid loses the foreigner hope. - EG challenges FXO in terms of biggest budget team. ^^

Yea they could have easily approached huk with a number, then gone to nazgul so that huk was already gungho about the switch. I dont think huk would have accepted the offer or even considered if victor had just approached him saying "look EG wants you". Im sure there was some unofficial dialogue between EG and huk before official channels were contacted. Of course we have no way of knowing so its probably better left unsaid. EG is pretty shady though i wouldnt put it past them. They seem to have never ever cultivated their own talent in any of their games (at least in recent years) and i cant really respect them as a team for that.
