Xeris is NASL's admin and staff. I imagine it comes from their direct communication.

P.S., I don't think this changes the tenor of the discussion, but it is news that SC2CON denies involvement in the decision to pull out of NASL and that a statement from the team themselves will be forthcoming.
Checked the past 15 pages of the thread and didn't see this mentioned (although some recent posts read like maybe it has been posted already?)
Post on SC2CON's website on their perspective of the current NASL dispute/troubles.
The recent troubles with NASL were the result of SC2CON's actions, but rather were actions taken by the individual teams. We believe the teams are currently preparing a statement to express their thoughts and opinions on the matter.
*We are baffled by NASL constantly referring to SC2CON in this matter. The conference has not transmitted nor received any official communication with NASL.

Maybe, but given that it wasn't mentioned in OP, I have my doubts.

Sigh...... I don't know why the Koreans are being stubborn about this. WTF? I think NASL is making some decent offers here, why are my people being so stubborn?!

Well, seeing as NASL falsely advertised their product, I assume NASL will give us refunds for our season 2 tickets, right? It would be illegal not to...false advertising/fraud.

How is it false advertisement? They did not advertise anything at all.

Their product is the games of the players. They listed the players (aka their product) as being X, and it turns out that X doesn't exist yet we paid for product X.
This would be like buying a LA Lakers ticket for $100 except after they accept your payment they tell you that in fact you are going to an LA Sparks (WNBA) game to see women try to play basketball.
Simple to follow I think...

Yeah...that's not how false advertising works. They've done nothing illegal and are under no obligation to refund anything. Do you think you deserve to get a refund if you buy tickets for a sporting event and your favorite player is hurt/DQed and can't play? Of course not. Nice try at being a cheapskate though.

You clearly need to take a marketing course.
If any real corporation, publicly traded especially, pulled a stunt like this -- they would be crucified.

"False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising."
NASL did not commit fraud or false advertising. This is not even a difficult concept.

That is totally irrelevant/absurd, since when do you buy a ticket for an NBA game and they send you to a WNBA game? Just because Korean players aren't going to be playing does not change the tournament it will be the same tournament with people that have just as much skill that get the spots from the Korean players.

It's not false advertising if the Koreans pulled out, if they were forced out of the league you might of some ground to stand on but, you don't.

They literally said multiple times stuff to the extent of:
"Purchase your tickets to see players: PuMa -- winner NASL Open Tournament aLive -- 2nd NASL Open Tournament Clide -- semi final NASL Open Tournament Revival -- semi final NASL Open Tournament LoWeLy -- top 8 NASL Open Tournament NightEnD -- top 8 NASL Open Tournament Rain -- top 8 NASL Open Tournament sC -- winner NASL S2 Qualifier TOP -- 2nd NASL S2 Qualifier Hero -- semi final NASL S2 Qualifier MarineKing -- semi final NASL S2 Qualifier Moonan -- top 8 NASL S2 Qualifier Check -- top 8 NASL S2 Qualifier Polt -- top 8 NASL S2 Qualifier Moon -- top 8 NASL S1"
source: www.nasl.tv
So we go purchase the ticket, and now their product which they clearly advertised as being what I posted above is nothing even remotely close to that. Clearly both false and misleading, as per your post. Granted, you used wikipedia, but still we can assume that to be generally correct.

That is a blatant lie, I have never seen them advertise that at all, all they did was put a list of players on their site so us the viewers could see who would be in the tournament, it is not the fault of NASL that the Korean Teams decided that they won't let their players play the matches for the event.
|
And at the time, to their knowledge, that was the truth. They did not intentionally mislead or lie to anybody. I'll even give you another example.
If you buy tickets to a music festival and a few bands pull out at the last minute due to not liking their stage placement or something, is it the venue or festival organizers fault? Did they lie? Were they deceptive? No. Same case here, NASL advertised what to their knowledge was true. You're wrong. End of story.
ANYway, who else is more interested in what JSy mentioned a few posts up about this statement from the Korean teams and SC2CON denying their involvement?
