I wouldn't be surprised if people are vastly underestimating how much money these Korean teams actually have. The NASL obviously isn't made of money either, and, unfortunately, it seems that money is simply the main issue here. We all know how much Korean players enjoy playing overseas, and I'm sure many of their players are also disappointed that things worked out this way. Travel is just too expensive sometimes.

My speculative list of players leaving and players from the S2 qualifier and Open Bracket who could replace them is on Page 6.

Disclaimer: not dissing these players or anything, just would rather have people like Nada vs July or something in the finals.

My speculative list of players leaving and players from the S2 qualifier and Open Bracket who could replace them is on Page 7. Because they have no players in NASL, so they were not mentioned.

Korea did it for the West In the world tournament gsl paid for all travel expenses(including to Korea and within Korea) as well as computers for them to play on (not sure on the food). Let's be realistic here 2000 would barely pay for travel and hotel so if you lose in the first round you are spending money to participate in a tournament in the other side of the world You guys need to remember that GSL has a house for gamers and provides all accommodations they are simply asking for the same treatment. 100% of the travel costs and the entrance tournament fee as well as no deposit. Those demands are not really unrealistic from Koreans, they just might not be in the current budget for NASL.

On a separate issue, it's disgusting how many anti-worker posts there are in this thread. These are people who are workers. They are no different than the person working salaried at a law firm, the person checking out your groceries, or the person delivery your packages. They are negotiating what they feel is a fair wage for their work. To say they are not offered enough is not for you to say and you do not know. I'm sure plenty of people would take jobs that other people wouldn't becuse they have better offers out there.

We paid $1,192 for each ticket. The hotel cost was $353 for the entire event. Travel cost was about $80 per person (shuttle service to and from). This averages out about $1650, factoring in meals ($50 per day even) ... giving each player $2,000 should cover that. If the proposal isn't at all different from what the Korean teams wanted, then why can't you just accede to their proposal? If all they wanted was accommodation and travel paid for and prearranged, which you apparently can do with the $2000, then why not pay for it? If it is the security deposit that is such an issue, understand how cash strapped Korean teams are at the moment and that NO Korean missed games last NASL, unlike many foreigners.

But I can see a lot of good reason why the Koreans are demanding so much * Unreasonable play times (4 am) for their weekly league matches * Lag issues between KR and NA servers * Bad format - travel all the way to the US to play potentially one Bo3 * The fact that a Korean player was poached during the last finals (Puma) doesn't reflect to well on the league * With the amount of Koreans who would of been in the tournament now - it would of likely ended up in a lot of them in the finals - and the teams having to cover this (which goes to the format issue - sending players to US for a Bo3). * Players being fatigued / participation in the Korean leagues (GSL/GSTL) (even MC has been saying he felt like he is falling behind due to all the foreign events) * GSL partnership with MLG (politics / agreed conditions for players participating / etc) Bad luck for NASL and the viewers, but got to think about it from both sides here.... Then don't sign up for qualifiers and waste our time.
