Heya,
I did a search for replay viewer but didn't come up with what I was after, so I figured I'd make a post as I'm sure others will benefit from it.
What I'm looking for is a replay viewer for SC2, something that you can just drag and drop replays onto the icon (of the viewer or SC2) and it starts playing right away. I believe there's something specific out there that does this (aside from the game itself) because I recall Day9 saying something about the program he uses to do what I explained above. For the life of me I can't find the daily where he mentions it - hopefully one of you know what I'm after.
Thanks

replay viewer would require 1st party SC2 software to run, thus only blizz could make one...
edit- I should read more...
You can do that already with the SC2 icon.... Just drop the replay icon onto the sc2 icon

u already can do that with replays... drag a replay onto the sc2 icon on ur desktop and it should launch the replay(atleast thats how it worked some months ago) i cant test it now becouse eu bnet is down

SC2Gears isn't a reaplyer "Media player" but it dose review the technical aspects of your replays. Such as APM/Build Orders/Timings/Chat/ect.
Also i have never heard of a 3rd party SC2 replay player. Day[9] manually loads his replays while the camera is on his face as he talks and gestures.

What you want can be done with SC2...
Unless you mean a more complete, like media player replay viewer which I think doesn't exist because you need the SC2 engine to see the replays due to their nature

Hmm... I'm almost positive I heard Day9 mention some third party program but I guess I could be wrong.
I guess I'll keep using SC2 itself
Thanks for your input!

Well, I'm not sure what's up with the files I have here but they won't launch via drag and drop to the SC2 icon. All I get is a blank black screen with the SC2 mouse icon.
Weird.

Replays will fail to load sometimes, I think is has to do with not having the map downloaded and blizz not being able to find it... confirm sum1??

Go to StarCraft II\Support and drag your replays onto SC2Switcher.exe
You must have the map the replays are played on your will get stuck on a black screen.

I'm sorry that this is an off topic reply but Mjolnir, did you used to post on the Guitar World forums?

easier to drop them on the SC2.EXE short cut tbh, the switch.exe does the same thing as it.
