SC2 Bracket Generator

Brought on by a demand of a faster way of doing things, I created this little gem in the aftermath of a bracket generation meltdown that almost crippled one of the Weeklies at NerdyShore.

This handy program takes your names and randomly shuffles them for you. Then it takes those names and plugs them into an awesome bracket image you can then save for your later viewing pleasure.

(Credits to CaliberMengsk for the background images.)

But wait! This program can also make images for 32 player brackets as well!

And if that weren't enough, it also enables you to go in and edit brackets further down the road. Make a fully fleshed bracket from start to finish:

Other Features:
* Players' races will be indicated by an icon in the image
* Built-in Image Previewer w/ Fullscreen
* Save to any popular image format (PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP)
* Save your bracket information to a .nswb file
* Load .nswb files back into the program to reclaim previous brackets

Download:
Current Version (1.2.2): http://adf.ly/2AfLa

Important Things To Note:
* This program requires the .NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile to run
* This program is currently Windows only
* This program is a stand-alone application. You don't need to install the program to run it

Disclaimer:
I have made this program available freely because when I was making it for the administrator of the NS Weekly Tournament, other people expressed interest in it as well. I don't really care what you use this program for, since I designed it to be a free tool that anyone could use (credit would be nice, of course, but I'm not demanding anything), but please take note that the pictures and intellectual property included within this program are property of CaliberMengsk, NerdyShore, or Blizzard Entertainment, where applicable. Get the permission you need from the people you need to get it from before you start throwing other people's property all over the internet.

Of course, this isn't to say that you will get in trouble for using this program in the way it was intended. Casual non-profit Starcraft tournaments with little or no prize pool is a-okay. Anything involving a profit or using SC2 imagery for non-SC2 related things is where gray or black areas start cropping up.

Version History:
1.2.2
- Release

Thanks For Playing:
I hope you enjoy this tool. If you find any bugs or have any ideas as for possible features, go ahead and post them in this thread.

Looks cool, nice work.

A feature worth adding is seeding though. Instead of randomizing the input, treat the list as top seed (1) to bottom (32) and create a bracket accordingly (seed 1 vs seed 32, seed 1 can only meet seed 2 in final, etc).

Great! There are some sites for this but I've seen those fail multiple times (not always due to the fault of those sites of course), as recent as yesterday even, at the grubby tournament.

Really neat. Any possibility of double elimination support in the future?

Also, when you fill in the results, is it possible to input the score of the series (Such as 2-1, 2-0, etc.).

Just some features that I think would be useful. Looks really great though

Nice, this has potential if you eventually allow for a lot of graphical customization, and add support for different formats.

EDIT: some tourneys use http://challonge.com/, so if you make it more functional, its cool.

Looks really cool, great work, however as OutlaW- said it would be really good if people had different backgrounds to choose from (:

Also, if you don´t have 32 players but less, would be cool to have an option to make a smaller tourney

Great job thusfar though!

GJ!
Will be awesome if we can change the background image.. to make more customizable the bracket and make it less "anonymous"

Hey guys, thanks for the fast input. Now for responses:

- @dani Nice idea, I like the seeding concept.

- @ClysmiC Scoring and different tournament formats... How did I not think of that? O_o
EDIT: Just realized the background currently in use doesn't really support these features, so once I get the customizable background in, that'll be the immediate next thing. :D

- @Giku It auto compresses the bracket into a 16 player tournament... are you asking for smaller than that?

- @EveryoneElse I'm actually currently working on making the background customizable. I originally created it because the weekly tournament at NerdyShore was using Photoshop for their brackets and it got sorely backed up one week, and since I wasn't intending on distributing the program at that time, I hard-coded the information in.
