Whenever you hit post in this thread, think long and hard. Are you showing the proper amount of respect? If that is not the case, do not hit the post button.

Heh, hopefully this shuts up all the grim-faced veterans of the world who just go "Eh, she's overreacting, you need to be professional and just wave trolls aside", when they're clearly not considering

1. Cultural Differences
2. The sheer amount of passion and love that Jessica has for her team and her team members

I especially liked her point about how people don't understand what it's like to have that much hate and other bullshit directed at you online until it's happened to them personally, and her family member analogy was extremely apt. Some people really just lack empathy, and it's incredibly frustrating to see that lack of empathy manifest in such stupid ways.

Great post. Thank you for sharing it on TL. SlayerS has been one of my favorite teams to watch. I hope this will help silence the negative comments

I completely agree, as someone that had people even far back like in grade school that insulted/harassed me (although not sexually, nor am I a girl ofc), I know how being bullied(+being cyberbullied) feels.

Good Job on SlayerS and hope for the best~ ><

I think this is a culture difference here.... I think that "cyberbullies" are so common that people over here do not even listen to them or let them affect their thoughts. You must realize when you are on top there is always a target on your back because people wish to be in your spot. Hopefully you do not let these words hurt you or your players so much in the future because that just makes the bullies happier and gives them more ammunition.

Really nice to get a more indepth explanation of what has happened. The current internet culture is frankly awful, and hopefully someone like you actually reacting to it trough the proper channels might give it some reason to start changing at least. Passion like that of Lim Yo Hwan should be admired, not flamed. And initiatives to break new ground in progaming should also be admired.

And finally, as much negativity as there is, most people with positive opinions don't always post, it's often the negative minority that's screams the loudest.

Bloodless murder? Why are you being so dramatic? What these people are doing is wrong, but it's certainly not akin to murder of any kind.

I hope that this gets settled and the flaming stops, almost everyone on TL supports SlayerS and every member of it.

You don't understand; the respect and pride of an individual is valued so much in some asian countries. You could be practically destroying/scarring their entire career and life which is not that much better than murder.

Anyhow, so much ESPORT drama. I just wish people would be more considerate on what they say but it is the internet unfortunately. Maybe karma will come help out.

SlayerS are pro through and through. Thanks for posting this Jessica, sad that people jumped the gun over this. I look forward to seeing what SlayerS_Eve can do!

Also tell Boxer that his performances have NOT been lacking. Maybe he hasn't come out the victor... but he always puts on a show, and he's a joy to watch on and off the stage. I still think the "old" boy has some championships in him yet!

Hopefully this all blows over for you guys soon, odd... given that Eve's recruitment was a move in the right direction.... I suppose people want to see positions earned, but that's up to Eve to do now :D

Way to pretty much ignore all the points she made in her OP... not to mention disregarding cultural differences.

I'm amazed by the fact that you come here and try to clarify all those things. Its amazing to me, because it means that the foreign community is also important to the Korean community now. In Broodwar that would've probably not happened. Besides that - your English is really good and I can't understand how people are trying to bash on your skills in that term.

For the SlayerS_`EvE` thing. I don't think males are superior because they are male, but because they just put a lot of effort into the game while females might not work so hard. If EvE works as hard as male I think she can become a good gamer and I will follow her progress. If she doesn't get successfull, than it only means that she is ONE of MANY GAMERS (not female or male) that didn't manage to be a progamer .. not more not less.

I wish SlayerS best of luck and will always follow your players. GL&HF in the future.

Tons of respect for coming here and posting this. Will be good to see the drama come to an end, and it's nice to see that stuff's working itself out. Hopefully those who acted as is deemed inapropriate according to korean law are punished thereafter, and everyone can move along. Hopefully Eve will have a good future and will be able to produce som good results as time goes by.
