or maybe he's writing a formal press release?

While the entire truth is unknown, the TSL coach makes it clear that he feels that PuMa was poached by EG. Sure, you might see more of Puma at foreign events, but this is by no means a progressive step for foreign-Korean relationships in SC2. If anything, Korean teams will be hesitant to have their players participate in future foreign events since this all went down after NASL.
Personally i don't like the term poaching. Yes it might be true that EG didn't contact TSL management first, however maybe they wanted to talk/confront the player first before the team/management played their hand to puma. This whole etiquette thing is bullshit too. At the end of the day it's the players choice. TSL clearly couldn't keep puma (matching/bettering EG's offer).
It maybe seen as disrespectful to TSL but it's done ALL the time in other sports around the world. Aggressive bids for players has been around for many years and it's not EG's fault that another team goes and has a cry about their tactics to gain a player. TSL is like "OHH shit you just won a major tournament, guess we didn't figure you were worth that much".

wOOt, wish this had been know somewhere around djWHEAT's LO3, that probably could have triggered some more bonus time and epicness, well there's always next week

I wonder what other players might do this...what other players attend lots of foreign tournaments...
maybe one that begins with 'o' and ends with 'gsMC'?

I expect to see IdrA's TvZ improve -even more- and perhaps using some sick drop play of his own.

It was just that the news had not been updated yet and all people knew was that Puma was going to EG and leaving TSL. Thus the F5, constant refresh to see the updated news.

Time to wake up Korea, shit just got real in the global economi. Will be very interesting to see what will come out of this. There has already been some talks in sweden about the need for some sort of global orgaisation for shit like this to get sorted out.
Now the koreans might also push in that direction, only good things can come out of this deal, and we haven't even heard EGs side of it yet.
Are you serious? Have you read none of the other posts in this thread? And I assume you don't take TSL into consideration when saying that. What is so wrong? You don't think TSL thinks this is a bad thing? You do think that Puma will get the same training with EG as he did in the TSL house? And all the countless other things that have already been posted in this thread.
You are missing the point. TSL was loosing player left and right, how they would only be able to survive beacuse of Puma is just bullshit fanboys talk. They will make it or die, like in any economi.
Shit just got real, Puma will do good things for EG for a long time to come, just look at their rooster now.
And if we get more regulation and rules about how proffesional SC2 teams, players and tournaments should be organisated globaly it is all for the better.
EG is just the first to truly test the global player market.

They don't want to write a statement on TL saying "no, x happened." They want to make a press release about adding a player to their roster on their website and add it also sites like TL. These usually include pictures and interviews with the new member and staff. I'm pretty sure it doesn't "say a lot" that there hasn't been a release yet.

I think people are misunderstanding both sides in the "why does it matter/zomg EG/Puma sux!!!" sides, particularly with the girlfriend leaving example. The point is that it's not illegal, that it's a competitive arena, and like in all free market enterprises, it can happen. There is, though, as sense of betrayal, of sketchiness in the deal. There is nothing legally wrong or absolutely wrong - instead, it produces a more subjective feeling of wrong that is up for each person to relate to, and this happens all the time in regular sports. For anyone who follows basketball, look at Lebron James/the Mavericks...

At the same time, a contract with a player is meaningless if it has no value attached to it. Is it really true that Puma didn't make a salary? If that's the case, how much loyalty could TSL reasonably expect? And who would blame EG for making an offer on an obviously excellent player with nothing to lose and everything to gain?
FXO just bought a whole team, essentially. Not many people are boo-hooing that.
Trying to acquire the best players happens regularly in professional sports.
Your stupid. Fou reached out to Fxo to sponser them. /your post True enough. So FXO is sponsoring Fou. No explain to me what the big deal is with EG essentially offering a great player a job? If an another employer offered you a substantial raise to work for them, are you or this prospective employer obligated in anyway to contact you? Not really. /yourself.
The lack of respect is the problem. (For me anyway) It's fine EG offered him something better, but from what i've read on here from Milkis quotes are that it's disrespectful to NOT talk to a manager/coach w/e.
Which..they did not do (As far as we know...and if they did i'm sure they would have said something, which they have not)
Edit: Maybe because EG is an American team and I'm from America I hold them to a higher standard on being respectful to other countries?

Besides if the teams become to unstable and just buy the best players left and right, then what will be the point in being a fan of a team. I'll keep supporting Idra, Incontrol and Demuslim but the only teams that i can support are those who have faith in their lineup and recruit promising up-and-coming players that can become legacy of the team.
This is more like a free-agent than buying someone out. EG needed a good terran on their team for practice partners, they are just deepening their lineup.

Does anyone know if Puma is going to try and enter the GSL anymore? Or will he fly over to the EG house?

that or his keyboard broke and he's buying a new one so it's taking a while.

It makes you wonder what EG gets from this deal. I dont think he will live with the other EG-members so they have an extra practice partner. So it is purely for promotion during tournaments. He is a great player though so kudo's to EG.
