Oh you ignorant cutie pie.
Let me educate u a bit.

EG.IdrA "IPL Session 1 Champion"
How does that qualify in ur head?...
Haters gonna Hate.

that was a US-invite only tourney. lol.

MLG champion, last foreigner in the last MLG placing 4'th behind MC/losira/mma.

Give it a rest you fanboy tool.

Ah so saying that Idra has better results then other foreigners as fact is now fanboy? please get a grip.

You are wrong, that's what makes it fanboyism when you state incorrect things as facts. Idra does not have better results than other foreigners. He may have good results, but thats about it.

Sjow, jinro, whitera, naniwa, fenix all have better and more impressive results, hell even thorzain.

I have already said Jinro is up there. Fenix, naniwa, sjow, white ra do NOT have the results Idra have. I am sorry its fact.

Big tournaments:

Top 8 in every mlg but 1 for Idra
Won an MLG
qualified for every single GSL tournament
made ro8 code S
Won IPL season 1 (I agree not the biggest deal sense there were no EU players)

Jinro:
Won an MLG (hasn't played any others unless I am mistaken?)
Made semi finals in GSL code S twice in a row (very impressive)
Made ro16 code S (I believe dont' know for sure?)

So far I would say idra/jinro have same accomplishments in major tournaments (Jinro making semi finals twice in a row was amazing). But Idra is still more consistent as he almost always makes it far in big tournaments.

Huk is getting to jinro/idra in achievements.

Huk:
ro8 code A
Qualified for code S
Ro16 code S
won an MLG
Won dreamhack
won homestory cup

Those 3 are imo the 3 "best" foreigners in terms of achievements (thorzain only has TSL 3 win how is that better accomplishments then idra/jinro/huk?).

Why do you even argue with me when you can't even get jinros achievments correct, not even his GSL placings. And thorzains TSL3 was impressive because of the caliber of players that were participating in it, compared to other tournaments, IPL was a joke, any weekly european tournament has better players in it than IPL.

Because it's not professional.
They basically went up to Puma behind the team's back, while he was 3000 miles away from his coach, and flashed a bunch of money into his face.

If they wanted, they could have started an arrangement like SK did with NaDa and MC, you know, actually talking to the management of TSL.

Don't buy Intel, Steelseries, Monster, Kingston products.

You haven't yet explained to me why it's bad? What are the benefits to all stakeholders of contacting TSL throughout the process?

It's a shame that TSL lost their ace player.

At the same time, a contract with a player is meaningless if it has no value attached to it. Is it really true that Puma didn't make a salary? If that's the case, how much loyalty could TSL reasonably expect? And who would blame EG for making an offer on an obviously excellent player with nothing to lose and everything to gain?

FXO just bought a whole team, essentially. Not many people are boo-hooing that.

Trying to acquire the best players happens regularly in professional sports.

I find it extremely shady.

You can steal cars. You can't steal people. Because they are not property.

Stop calling it theft, for fuck's sake.

Breaking contract

Elaborate, and then provide evidence for these assertions. You have such little information in your brain about the incident but you come to such conclusions somehow?.

I said if, or way to delete the rest of my post. I do not know for sure, but that is a distinct possibility and the person who I was quoting and many of the other people here are not taking that into consideration, or don't even know that Korean teams have contracts.

Everything I've read says the mgnt let Puma go, and hence no breach of contract. Do you possess information that implies, or says, otherwise?

to me, "let puma go" implies that there was some sort of a contract. Otherwise, why would he need their permission to go? He could have left on his own accord and the story would have been, "puma leaves TSL".

i think we need some rules around this. there are rules around transfers in soccer and other sports, i think we need the same. We need to keep all transfers above board.

Breaking a contract only happens if you are not released from the contract. Puma was released from his contract by request.

Also, consider that a player of puma's calibur might not have even been making a salary. $0 vs a steady income. If this is the case (which it may well not be, I'll admit), do people really want to see a top player like him be denied what he deserves?

Exactly. Which is why I'm asking all the EG condemners here why poaching is a bad thing (i.e. taking players w/out consulting TSL mgmt). So many pepole are saying it's bad but can someone plz tell me why it's bad?

Because it destroys any meaning in having a team if people just hop around and get poached left and right, looking to make the quickest buck rather than developing a team. You can say that doesn't matter, but it does for others. Pretty sure you have a favorite sports player on a team or perhaps a favorite team... how would you like it if that player or the team's star player was poached through shady dealings? As a fan you'd feel like shit.

And once again, this is not saying EG did any of this. Until their side of the story is told, I'm just answering the question.

Imagine your girlfriend went on a trip, and someone just approached her and asked her to be his girlfriend, and she accepted. No contract, not married. Sure, you feel like you've been betrayed, but it's not wrong, right?

it's lyrics from a rap song, (i know cause i remember the lyrics, i dont remember the song title lol)
it basically says "people with similar thoughts and goals gahter around and depend on each other, everything is based on trust and misunderstandings don't last long. everything is working and seething with life, don't be so cautious, cause no bodies fuckin perfect!"
Now I'm not really sure what killer is trying to say here. Also, the tweet seems to be deleted..

2nd at gamescon

Gamescon isn't for another month. Did you mean 2nd at Gamescon NA qualifier?

Puma leaves a TSL that is falling apart, the Koreans get to feel how it really is to want a GLOBAL star league and not only a "Korean takes foreign money while everyone else is watching".

Time to wake up Korea, shit just got real in the global economi. Will be very interesting to see what will come out of this. There has already been some talks in sweden about the need for some sort of global orgaisation for shit like this to get sorted out.

Now the koreans might also push in that direction, only good things can come out of this deal, and we haven't even heard EGs side of it yet.

Are you serious? Have you read none of the other posts in this thread? And I assume you don't take TSL into consideration when saying that.

What is so wrong?

You don't think TSL thinks this is a bad thing? You do think that Puma will get the same training with EG as he did in the TSL house? And all the countless other things that have already been posted in this thread.

Someone needs to translate these properly!

They look very relevant. And Killer seems very concerned!
