How she acts and what she is about to do is stupid. That's the end of that. You're right. Now post some pictures of your sister so we can shop that onto a pornstar. I'm going to pretend for a sake of the argument that I have a sister. If my sister wanted publicity as Jessica does, she would also pose in front of photographers and let her picture be posted on news websites for everybody to see. When you enter such a scene, it's stupid not to expect such an outcome. Do you see where I'm getting at? If someone photoshopping them onto a pornographic image is against the law and punishable(*defamation*). They would expect to be taken to court, and Jessica is completely within her rights to do so. Wouldn't you expect to get taken to court? Do you see what Im getting at? No, I don't. She is within her rights to do so, but why would I expect the police to waste their time with such nuisances? Going back to your post about my sister, wouldn't you expect such thing to happen in this situation? You're a young girl and not well known for your starcraft achievements, yet you join a top-class starcraft progaming team and let the public see you. What sort of person wouldn't foresee this mess? You sound like one of those who would blame women getting raped because they dressed like a slut, even though raper is in the total wrong here. Are we comparing shopping pictures to rape now? This is just ridiculous. Public figures should expect to be treated by the public as such. This includes love, hate, and all the distortions imagination has to offer. And people posting hateful messages and photoshops should expect to be punished by the law when it's illegal to do so in their country..... I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

That is definitely overreacting, lmao.
Call the internet police. -_-
Considering she used to be an actress I thought she would know how to grasp these sort of situations. There is no reason to get upset.

I know. I am not making a decision for the South Korean courts. However, given the vast numbers of people online in South Korea frequenting the sites Kim Ga Yeon is targeting, this has all the makings of a frivolous lawsuit with too many defendants to properly prosecute.
My own remarks on the case are what I believe would be correct in a just society.

Someone could come out in public and say that recruiting SlayerS_Eve is probably a failed idea and she probaby won't turn out to be much of a progamer. The fact that you would even bring freedom into something like this is laughable. We're at a time where people should be held accountable for their actions and stop thinking that they can get away with everything in the name of "rights" and "freedom". This shit makes me sick. People that do this are the same people that riot after their sports team loses and vandalize things thinking that they'll get away with it.
Actually that is exactly why freedom is important and quite difficult to hold on to. The true indication of how much freedom we have comes when there's an issue many people strongly disagree with, its not really about protecting middle of the road opinions like "lol slayers_eve is bad k".

As for accountability, people should be more careful what you want to get taken away from them. Tracking down people on the internet for such disregard-able things is the next step of getting rid of any anonymity (and then privacy) on the internet. Getting your face (that you let everyone see) photoshopped isn't something to loose sleep over, much less worth loosing anonymity for. Again. It's you telling someone how they should feel. You have no connection to the people in question and you clearly don't care. Do you think you, some random person across the world knows better or do you think the manager knows better? You think a shopped nude photo is something completely disregardable but YOU have no RIGHT to make that decision for someone else. You keep going on and on about rights privacy and free speech yet you take away someone's right to feel hurt. Get out of here. It's me expressing my opinion, yes. What else is this thread for, on a forum for discussing things? I don't have the right to make their decision, but I have all rights to say that I think that the decision they made is idiotic.
Also, right to feel hurt. That's a new one. Spectacular. I don't think this right to feel hurt also covers the right to go to the police because someone is a meany, and telling the whole world that you're doing it?
As for your last sentence, please respect my right to not getting out of anywhere.

This is way to much from SlayerS_Jessica. If you're gonna do something about it, take actions against the worst dickheads and not every one that mentions your name. And do it silently so it doesn't get this huge, by making this so public with tweets and pictures all over the place she doesn't make her look any better nor SlayerS for that matter. This will only end up with a few people being sued while SlayerS will lose alot of fans. =&

As I've stated in my original post, some things are to be expected and completely irrelevant to your life/success in the progaming scene. As some other poster noted, would Emma Watson be right to try to track down every guy who photoshopped her pictures? Some things might be illegal, but completely harmless even if you're not stoic. What sort of person wouldn't foresee this mess? i don't expect you to reply to this at all, but to anwer your last question: i kinda dunno, what sort of people do you think half of us are? i'm sure we want/[wanted] her to do well, on top of many other hopes, and ideas and a simple thought is that this incident is a preventing factor What sort of people half of you are? Idealists, I would say. The world isn't always fine and dandy and you can't always take out your wheelbarrow full of gold out for a walk in a busy city and expect everybody you meet to be happy for you. When you put yourself out there in the public, at least grow a thicker skin. Stop dodging. What gives you a right to tell people how to feel? Oh, I wasn't dodging. It just takes time to get through all the posts here. Respect my right to slowly read through forum posts, please.
And freedom of speech gives me that right, doesn't it? I can't make them feel that way, but I can surely tell them my opinion on the situation.
