RootPrincess/SixjaxMajor caught smurfing in tourny - Page 11

Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.

Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

Wow, this is actually just disgusting. It's sad that he just keeps on doing this kind of stuff because there are little or no consequences. What a disgrace of a player.

Dox, don't let this <situation> stop you from contributing to the e-sports community. What you did was correct and i hope to see more of these tourneys.
The problem was not the original thread where it said you could only play with an account. Major was explicitly told he could not play and still tried to.

Now i believe in the TL calender it said that it was to SEA citizens only, but even then. 2 different sources with 2 different rules saying who can and can not join. If the rules were clear, this would of happened in the first place.

Did you even read the posts? He was told 5 days before the event he could not play.

i did, hit enter too early. There are always 2 sides to a story. We've only heard one so far.

good luck hearing Major's side, He's been banned from TL (and for good reason)

Sucks to have to deal with stuff like this Dox, best of luck dealing with sixjax.

This single stunt from MajOr has no impact on my commitment. I see amazing things happening all around the world - with events like IEM and Dreamhack in Europe, and the NASL/MLG in America. And of course the GSL in South Korea. As someone who has spent the last 11 years co-ordinating eSports in Australia (WCG, ACON, Blizzard Worldwide Invitational, etc), seeing the scene explode like this is a dream come true.

I'm currently working very closely with a range of partners to grow the SEA scene, and if all goes as planned, by this time next year we'll see those efforts culminate into an "MLG Circuit" of our own.

If anyone is looking to hear the story from MajOr's side, there are screenshots of our chat posted in this thread. It's quite clear that his motivation was, "ur being a fag."

I don't see what the massive discussion is about. None of us here will be able to make any decisions about this anyway. I read the original post on the other forum, and my view is that let Dox and sixjax figure out what they want to do with Major.

Yes, he's in the wrong, and if he BMed the admin, bad on him. The admin has a full right to ban him from the rest of the tournament if he so wishes.

Also, on a side note, would India count as SEA since I think they sell SEA in India (I bought my game in Indonesia).

EDIT: Future tournaments, not rest of the tournament o.o

Just don't invite sixjaxMajor.

I read the chat log screen shots, the forum posts and anything else posted here and I've come to the conclusion that Major really is a dick. Fuck him.

Even if he apologizes. No no no, fuck him.

The most common thing I've read is people saying "fuck him". Having a massive thread is good. It gives the tournament good exposure and lets more people know that sixjax was beyond reprehensible.

He just participated in a tournament when the rules weren't definitive as they should have been until at a later point in time. How'd they get "cheated" anyways if they were going to lose in those games?

Kid wanted to play.
Kid found an account even through it was a smurf.
Kid played and did not win money.

Don't see the issue. Even if he did win and took the money who the hell cares unless this is a tournament made to support the Code B players of the SEA region.

The people saying "omg ima hate Artosis now" sound kind of dumb to me. Unless you can somehow prove he was in on this, lol.

This definitely makes Major a failure, but Artosis is as awesome as ever.

This is a tournament to support players of the SEA region. But regardless....you think its alright for players to do what ever they want to do, fuck what they were told by the admins?

Are you stupid? He doesn't qualify to be in the tournament. He got disqualified luckily before he actually won it (assuming he would.)

It's a big deal, because the tournament is trying to support the SEA scene.

My fave part is how he got caught, someone who streams himself cheating and breaking rules should really not even bother with it. At least Dox will still keep SEA tournies going lol, that scene probably needs some tournies more then any other.

I see....another person who didnt bother to read the OP and the link on it

Yes. the rules were as definitive, but major was told clearly "at a later point in time", BEFORE the tournament started that he wasnt allowed to participate, but he decided to participate anyways using another players account (which should be against blizzard's ToS in the first place, and probably against most tournament rules). And how did those people he lost to got cheated so you say? Well, go place yourself in their shoes and see how it feels like then get back to us.

Dude, that is so ignorant it's not even funny. Major basically committed fraud to win money straight out of the pocket of the tournament organizer that was invested solely to the cause of giving the SEA region and it's residents a big tournament and rewards. You just don't care because it wasn't your region.

Poor Dox,having to deal with this silliness.

Forr those wanting to hear the other side of the story, I'm pretty sure it won't be as well written and justified as what Dox posted.

Although in theory yes, it said that only the owner of a SEA account could participate, so if Major got one he could participate. However, there is a reason why we have judges and juries in society. It's because we have to obey the spirit of the law more often than the exact wording of the law.

The purpose of the contest was to encourage SEA players, not SEA account owners.
