Will make it a lot easier for tournaments... Also it can't be that hard to have a "replay-watching-admin" that can control when the replay is starting for everyone! | ||

These linked servers are physically located in the same place, and even had sort-of cross-server communication ability(chat channels, RealID). NA and EU have literally a ocean between them. | ||

Merging servers that are actually the same server is, unsurprisingly, simple, unlike cross globe servers. The "technology" they had before wasn't superior to what they have now, regions were still locked, not linked, what you could do was choose which one you wanted to play in. All Blizzard did was remove the choice to play in a diferent region with the same SC2 copy, which may have been greedy, may have been a bad decision, but in no way is any diferent technology wise. Instead of choosing the Europe realm, you buy the Europe copy. | ||
