They literally need to flip a switch to fix this, it is not an undetectable hack so all they need to do is turn on warden then boom insta bans, AFAIK they leave it off until there is a large number of people using a hack then turn it on and ban a bunch of people at once that way they get more hackers, this practice has been well documented on the hack sites themselves and they even have indicators to say weather warden is on or off.

This is what killed off War3 competitive ladder, btw. Yeah i really don't know what blizzard is going to do. War3 ladder is unplayable because of drop hacks and blizzard doesn't do anything about it. I think not allowing Guests to ladder is an ez fix... Not being a subscription game may mean Blizzard are more interested in new sales than keeping old customers. Discouraging people from buying expansions because they do little about hacking seems a little worse... Guests passes should just be allow to custom game and mayb ladder in bronze idk.. As a bronze player I think everyone above me deserves hackers cause alott of higher ranked people believe they are better human being, couldn't they have matches against other guest passes, although proper guests will be given a bad impression if matched up against hackers.
Then no Ladder for guests.. pretty simple

Some drop hack got cracked and became public .

MAn this suck, 2 days I didn't want to ladder because of the bug, now drop hackers.. god everyday I see myself moving further and further from the game, and it's not because I don't enjoy playing this game

This is honestly pissing me off. I lost 7 games in a row to drop hackers and I had to win 10 games straight afterwards to regain my rank 12 in masters. Take 3 hours to play sc2, have around half of it wasted by people who hack. Grrr.... Blizzard really needs to fix this and i feel even more for the pros who lose about 20 points for a loss.

It doesn´t mean its the same hack, a program can do the same thing and yet work in a different way.
So why doesn't Blizzard fix their code? All we ever asked for is a properly administrated ladder, since they won't let us have LAN. Is it so much to ask for ladder points updating properly, anti-hacks, and decent maps?

Pretty much this. It is easy to throw around blame at blizzard for not fixing this, but for all you know they've had a team working on fixing it since it cropped up. Sure, they have been quiet, but they do care or else those people and the fake Idra would not have been banned.

The way it worked for PiLLaGe and co. was patched. If you look at how this one works, it's a much slower onset. This indicates to me that it has to do the attack in a much more roundabout and inefficient way. I'm sure Blizz will catch it soon, but it's definitely not using the exact same exploit.

Just fix the code? If only it was that simple. You have no idea, and neither do I, but there could literally be MILLIONS of lines to go through to find and fix whatever this is messing with.

fucking scum Given that they've all been impersonating famous players it's likely not the real guy. How many Piqliqs are there in GM? lol dude, why would you go into detail, just tell him he is an idiot in a pm and provide your personal info so you can talk it out irl. No sense being a hypocritical martyr.
Idiot.
On a slightly more related note, I would really like to know what holes these people are finding to use these hacks.

regardless of what happens these people will never go away, we will forever see hackers here and eventually the ladder will become unplayable.

It is unplayable. They can be banned, but they are all on trial accounts. Unless an active team is put on banning these trial accounts, or trial accounts are disabled forever, there's no point in playing on ladder.

You trolling? It took 3 days to fix ladder wins/losses not earning/losing points. If you think this is going to be a harder thing to fix, how long do you think this hack is going to last? My guess is months.

Ran into drop hackers 5 times in a row on ladder was so frustrating, its not so bad losing the points its the fact it sometimes takes 10 minutes of your screen just froze to drop you from the game.

Fixing your code its not as trivial as you make it sound. I know you are angry but chances are that they are working on this all we can do is try to discourage this kind of crap and report them

Hmmm, so its all guest accounts? A good temp fix would be making a guest pass only ladder. It might screw some people over but at least this will buy time until they patch the hole

YES THIS HAPPENED TO ME. SOME GUY NAMED REVENGE DID IT TO ME. He just made cannons in his base till i lagged out. Its so annoying T_T
