Is this only happening on the NA server? If so, why?

Don't want to sound like a pessimist but the blizzard track record for acting swiftly isn't good.

The fake Idra has already been banned. Last night on the battle.net forums he was trolling. All his posts are gone, and he is no longer in Grandmasters.

Root problem isn't solved.

And I'm sure it is a more complicated fix than flipping a switch. They would have to reverse-engineer the program to see what it is doing and how to prevent it. Simple fix would be to prevent trial accounts from laddering, but that is hardly a permanent fix.

Remember how this was happening with ReVenGe, ChuckNorris, and PiLLaGe literally months ago? I do.

It doesn´t mean its the same hack, a program can do the same thing and yet work in a different way.

So why doesn't Blizzard fix their code? All we ever asked for is a properly administrated ladder, since they won't let us have LAN. Is it so much to ask for ladder points updating properly, anti-hacks, and decent maps?

Just fix the code? If only it was that simple. You have no idea, and neither do I, but there could literally be MILLIONS of lines to go through to find and fix whatever this is messing with.

You trolling? It took 3 days to fix ladder wins/losses not earning/losing points. If you think this is going to be a harder thing to fix, how long do you think this hack is going to last? My guess is months.

One bug/exploit does not equal another. No matter how trivial you make it sound, you have no idea, and neither do I, how easy or hard it will be to fix. You are just trying to make Blizzard look like some bad company that doesn't care while sitting on a pile of money laughing. That isn't happening.

I'm not trying to make any point other than "this is why we need LAN." If they're going to deny us that flexibility, they have entered into a sort of implicit agreement that they will administer their ladder responsibly. They have failed to do so since the beginning.

Sure there might be hackers. But I think the lag problem is more than just the hack... Because even in custom games, sometimes I start to lag like crazy then get dropped against honest players. Also, don't you find it weird all of a sudden all of these hackers emerged? I bet 80% of these "hackers" aren't hackers at all but victims of NA server lagging and people immediately pointing fingers at the opponents they were facing.

Read the topic please. Plenty of people have talked about a drophack being leaked recently, which would explain the sudden influx of drophacking.

Might be true, especially if people truly have been dropped like 5x in a row. The chances of meeting 5 hackers in a row is...small...

I highly doubt that

probably at least 90% is hackers with malicious purpose

idk about you but I've never once lagged out of a NA game in my life except when my own connection has had problems or I've been drop hacked.

A leaked drop hack went public this week.

Everyone here faces map hackers on a daily occasion (if you ladder), it's only you probably won't notice it because ironically their level of play with hacks has stabilized around a certain MMR, so in reality you are facing an opponent of equal "level of play" despite them hacking.

Drophack is obviously more noticable.. so yeah.

Been around for quite some time, but never been released afaik, was always just people testing around with it. Suprising that Blizzard haven't been doing anything, because it hasn't actually been hidden that well, only been done in the minor leagues.
