Pretty sure that's not that reason they dislike it. It's more like, "Oh Huk is doing it, so I guess it's okay and Blizz doesn't care."
Also, if anyone ever gets banned for it, there will always be the debate of why John Doe Diamond league gets banned for it, yet Huk can do it with no repercussions.
So really, Blizzard's decision to enforce their rules, with no exceptions is a smart one. Whether you agree with the rules or not is a separate matter.

So if i let my friend to play on my account , my account might get banned? LOL

For sure, I'd hate to be the guy who plays him constantly.

Ridiculous... I don't know what to say. Blizzard is very greedy.

Why are people making such a big deal about this?
You're all like those angry fat ladies that whine about products that they are too stupid to use properly. Like dragging a razor blade diagonaly and saying it's too sharp and dangerous.
There's no reason why he would have to use another account for custom games anyway.

+1 to this.
I mean, most of the people here at TeamLiquid love HuK and TLO (duh), but they broke the rules that they originally agreed to follow. Now, ex post facto, you want the rules changed? Sigh.

People are so assumptious. We are looking at a translation of a translation(english->german->english) and I really doubt that Blizz decided it was a good idea to call a major tournament and threaten to close part of it down.
Mashine is playing on IdrA's account and noone gives a shit cause it is not being streamed.
Blizzard just didnt want it streamed. It doesnt matter who is playing what accounts as long as they dont air it to 25k people to show them that account sharing is alright when its against the terms of use.
I would personally love to hear a statement from TaKe who got the original call so that we can get an explainatation of what was actually said before we draw the conclusion that Blizz is the big bad corporation that want to take down esports for their own petty profit. Get real people, and lets get some prober facts on the table and not second hand speculations.

If i were Idra i would say: "Fuck off Blizzard"

The whole point is that the ladder system is denying HuK's account of games, so he had no choice.
This isn't even remotely close to some random dude on ladder paying a pro to get his ranking up.

Blizzard endorses tournaments like GSL/GSTL which break their own rules, and force players to break the rules. The problem is they are hypocrites.

That actually is not the 'whole point.' I'm merely explaining why they don't want it streamed. Like I said, whether the rule is fine or not is up to debate. I'm actually against it, considering how they don't have cross-region play.
But at the end of the day, their request to not have the rule-breaking STREAMED is perfectly reasonable.

GSL/GSTL aint breaking their rules. They are using tournament accounts just like MLG does.
|
Blizzard is enforcing the ToS. Stop crying people everyone is equal to the law.
|
Well Marc is an acquaintance of many players and admins and is pretty involved so him seeing this eula infringement live and calling take who has known him for quite some time to warn him is pretty understandable. It's not because you're a pro that you don't have to follow the eula. (moreover on stream in front of xxxxx people)
|
In the US the EULA is not legally binding, does anyone know if this is true in the EU as well?
(I have no problem with them enforcing the rules to their game, I'm just curious about the implications of what is happening)
|
do they actually mean pro-gamers can't enjoy playing at some random ladder on some people account or are they actually deserting super pro gamer from ruining their ladder?
|
It won't happen, don't worry.
|
As stupid as this is. You agreed to a "contract" when installing the game.
Welcome to the real world HuK and TLO follow the rules when you are popular(ie Lindsey Lohan) (everyone knows about account sharing, though it seems as enforcable as jay-walking) or get totallly screwed.
Blizzard might want ban theaccount to make examples of them. why? Because they are so popular and its easy to get them in the spotlight.
Is it right, prob not will they do it most likely
