So because another person doesn't follow the rules, you got the right to not follow the rules either?
That's childish reasoning imho.

LOL who is this Marc Olbertz guy and who made him community manager? This is just sad... Any chance this is a troll article?

You mean the accounts that are used in custom games against each other and have zero effect on ladder? Is that really your argument?

Wow HuK couldnt find a match on Blizzards ladder. So the problem lies with Blizzard.

All the Blizz guy asked for was that they don't show account sharing on the stream. Stop making sense, we need to be mad at blizzard for ruining the growth of esports. The fact they just don't want account sharing streamed is completely fine, sounds like alot of people angry over alot of nothing
How are they ruining the growth of e-sports? In my opinion, Blizzard is overreacting but it is their game and it is up to them what to do. Sadly we cannot do anything.

No blizzard is just making exceptions for gsl and favore them...
The whole FXO team is sharing an account since 2 weeks, the whole GSTL is about acc sharing so i dont understand blizzard

Just plain stupid. Whats the point actually since Huk already owns an account (probable even more than one) so Blizzard did get the money from him already. We will already have to pay for the game three times, I can imagine how hard it is going to be for progamers who will have to pay like 3 times (europe, NA, korea servers or even more) for 3 parts of the game to be able to train properly on every server.

/Agree.
On the one hand it really sucks that people who are part of promoting Blizzard's game are getting smacked down in this manner. This kind of thing does not endear yourself to the gaming public in general. Rabble rabble!
On the other hand, it is in the T&Cs which you accept when you play the game.
There are certain cases where, due to the difference in bargaining power between the parties, you can't rightly be said to have entered into an enforceable agreement. In those cases the Court may take the parties' unequal bargaining position into account in determining whether certain parts of the contract are enforceable. But this kind of argument doesn't look like it can be run here.
It sucks but the easiest way to deal with it is to buy another account =(.

Once again another Blizzard hate fueled thread over nothing.
Zatic speaks of so much wisdom that people should listen to.
GSTL has guest accounts for their events, thus it is a non issue. Why would Blizzard want a big event streaming and basically promoting account sharing? The most impressive thing is, Blizzard watches these tournaments in the first place, which is excellent so they can see some of the issues online lan tournaments go through.

Because they announced an invitational and they are basing it off ladder ranking. If Huk is keeping TLO high in the rankings and he gets invited it invalidates the entire thing.
It's a shitty situation but I can understand both sides
|
this may be understandable from a business point of view, but if you compare it to the image loss that comes with it, I doubt it`s worth the trouble. not very smart from that Blizzard Employee to deal with this in public.
|
That was quiete a douchebag move by Olberz, or what ever his name is. They must be really bored at work if they are calling people up to stop account sharing^^
|
I remember Someone using Nani "MeatyOwllegs" account at Dreamhack Winter and TT1 using the Account Stork. Not only that all the Teams have they're own accounts. I remember more than 10 instances where a player played with another Account in a tournament, And this times it was not even HuKs fault that he couldn't play
|
How about we wait and see if his account actually gets banned before going crazy? At the moment all Blizzard has done is said please don't show account sharing on stream because it's against the rules.
