dw about those people. They have the standard TL mentality: "You're only allowed to say positive things".
They can't take any criticism, even if a team goes 0 - 4 against one player you must say they did their best and will do better next time.
I wonder though, does the "loser picks map" counts for the entire series?

I mean MoOnan is far better than what he showed today, and nobody can't blame him to shake a little from the pressure this must be! Since FXO is giving so much to succeed (which explains all the enthusiasm around the team) a mental coach could be a good addition to your house on the day before team matches. don't give up!!
FXO fighting! We are trying to deal with the mental stuff together as a unit. Unfortunately, there isnt budget to add another member of staff to the trip. However, I personally wish I did have some sort of mental coach here. It is effecting players, which is why sheth will not be returning to code A next season. Things are more difficult then they seem. Its not because of Korea. Its just because things are not 'home'. The unfortunate thing is people deal with mental stuff differently. I used to hate cameras, but now I am relatively comfortable with them. But I can see and know that it is very difficult to have a camera in their face. There can also be some lifestyle issues that are part of the problem, but unfortunately things like that are almost impossible to fix from the otherside of the world . I think you will see a fresher brighter team against ns.hoseo. Thanks for the question and support!
That's a real shame.
Best of luck in next week's match.

It took the TL guys several months before they could put up any results in the GSL, it takes time to adjust to the korean scene and they've only been there for a couple of weeks?
Playing against the best in Korea will definitely improve your skill, but it takes time, I'm sure that this defeat only motivates them to practice harder and in time I'm sure they'll show results just like Jinro and Huk.
FXO fighting!

Better look next week guys. The fact you went to Korea in the first place makes you winners in the eyes of most foreigners.

Tough match. Can only get better from here! gl guys!

And oh yeah, there are no good players who cant qualify for Code A. You know, we don't talk about the your physical age... Before you insult any of the FXO players, do your research homework, Hack was playing since Beta on Werra team, last week got 2nd on FXOpen and many Code B players is as strong as Code S, so, don't talk things like that if don't even know enough about the korean scene.

How come almost every time I see someone with under 100 posts, they're posting shit like this? Did you sign up to TL just to troll FXO? Go fuck yourself. Strewth! Then there's some 12 post hero backing him up Wish FXO didn't have to read that crap. Not that they need to be babied or protected from e-bullies but man, people signing up to TL just to troll them? Ugh.
Best of luck guys. I hope you can push through the mental aspect of this. Homesickness and similar things are just so tough and really unavoidable. Interesting about the mental coaching aspect. Irrelevant analogy but our national rugby team was the butt of a lot of jokes for having a mental coach (and then proceeding to bomb out of the world cup like noobs despite being hot favourites to win the thing). Apparently the bloke is a genius though. Not really something i know a lot about but i hope you can stay motivated and keep improving.
I loved (for lack of a better word) Tgun's emotion too. Watching you guys playing in GSL/GSTL right now is hands down the one thing i try hardest not to miss.
GL HF!!

Nervousness had nothing to do with the picks.
Everybody wanted to get their shot at the booth, and who honestly can blame them. This is why they came to Korea.
However, when you go down 2 games to 0. You stop catoring to the wishes of the players and you try to win, bringing out the stronger players. This isnt just about the team, but also about putting on a good show, for the fans, and for the people that paid money to bring you guys over.
The only time you put weaker players in is if you have a nice lead, or at the beginning of the matches. And you still consider who is good against what, the map and why they are going in there. The objective is to win, not to get experience.
Im sorry to say, but zenex is laughing at you guys. Make some better decisions next time.

when you are the underdog, you need to throw a 6 pool in!

You should reread this, and then consider that we have each player over here always preparing for something specific. Sometimes things don't go to plan; that's life. It sucks, but it happens.

Reread what exactly. Moonan was a decent choice. Everybody else hasnt played a game. Oz didnt play, QXC didnt play and sheth didnt play.
You re-read it.

Tough match, hope you can all learn from it and move on. FXO fighting!

Well, if I were Boss I wouldn't have picked any differently.

That was a tough loss, but I'm sure nerves played a part in the games. Hopefully you'll be able to get past those issues soon. FXO has some great players, who can definitely put up some wins.
Oh- and don't forget to enjoy this amazing opportunity you have.
I'm rooting for you guys! Good luck in your future matches!

And what makes you so sure that the players they played weren't the ones preparing specifically for the match-up and map they were sent out on?

It was a tough loss, but I don't think FXO needs to post results for Korea to be a success. They are obviously playing from a strong disadvantage. When a competitor enters into a new environment for competition, i.e. a rookie, they are almost certainly never going to perform as well as their potential.
But if they are able to grow as individual players and as a team (even if they are completely blown out as a team), I think they will be much stronger in future events!
|
Less known players are usually only used in 1 match up, and usually saved for sniping opponent's strong players. You use the strong players to finish off the series, you don't use weak players when you have a comfortable lead in order to "get experience," that comes from practice.

Oz did play.

real shame that Sheth isnt going back to Code A, i think it would really help his mind set, but... I'm not sheth nor do i know how he thinks and know for certain what would be best for him. I hope he stays.

Sheth isn't going back to code a?!!?!?! Sad day.
If you're not Korean though, I can totally understand it. It's a big time commitment for a small prize pool. If you can't get into Code S, might as well practice in other tournaments, make more money, and maybe come back when you are good enough for Code S.
He's still going to play in the GSTL, right? Please say yes! Sheth HWAITING!
