Main Team 5 Alicia Been tearing it up, no reason why he shouldn't continue to do so. 1 HuK(Captain) 1 point for HuK hells yeh, owned at DreamHack and he's been practicing in Korea long enough so he should go well. 5 July July is one of my favourites, beast player always seems to do well. 4 Byun Byun seems to do reasonably well, ~may as well~. 1 Hero Not really sure why I choose noblesse, just a feeling. 9 MMA He's MMA, nuff said. 2 BoxeR Always liked Boxer, hope he goes better in this one than his last few. 3 Sheth Might be a bad choice but I gotta support Sheth, I hope he does well even if I'm not so sure he'll do too well. 6 SlayerS SlayerS team are beast, I think they'll dominate.
Anti Team 4 FruitDealer Champ of GSL1 now he doesn't seem to do well at all. 6 TesteR Everyone raved about Tester and he never seemed to get anywhere, seems like a bit of a Clide to me. 3 RainBOw I like Rainbow from early GSLs but now he seems to lose fairly early on.
Hopefully these guys will do alright for me, some of my choices are kinda strange but I didn't wanna just choose all the obvious ones even though that's probably a smarter thing to do. That said my anti team seems pretty on the money *touchwood*.
2 BoxeR - Two point to have the world famous BoxeR in your lineup is an awesome deal. He may not always produce the highest results in single leagues, but he is very skilled at unit control, and always puts on a good match, regardless of result. And in BW he was relatively good at sniping.
8 DongRaeGu - Has shown some of quite simply the most impressive Z v X matches I've ever seen in SC2. And given that the short length of previous team leagues never really let him show what he's capable of I'm quite confident he will continue to perform well, and show us awesome Zerg plays. Also I like his style of play, and I consider the 8 points here a very good investment.
1 Jinro - The Gorilla Terran hit a massive slump lately, but he is still one of my favorite players, and for only one point, I'm willing to gamble that he will at least make 50% win ratio in team league matches.
9 MC (captain) - Not much to explain here, the most accomplished/skilled player on the team so he is the Captain. My favorite Protoss player, and if people want to talk 'best in the world' he can contend for that spot any day.
4 NaDa - Arguably equally famous to BoXeR. He may not have produced the best results in SC2 yet but he is very consistent in his play, something that will do well in team leagues. Who isn't a fan of NaDa anyways? 4 points well spent.
2 PuMa - Every time we see him in the team league his play is quite exceptional, and for just 2 points its a bargain really. Just because he hasn't been in the main league doesn't mean is not skilled. I've been impressed by the play we have seen of him.
2 Taeja - His last matches were amazing. Can't wait to see more from him. Another 2 point steal if you ask me.
2 TheBest - A lot of people overlook how good TheBest actually played in the Super Tournament despite MKP's trouncing of him. I've always like to see TheBest play regardless of his results prior to the Super Tournament.
6 SlayerS - 2 time champions of the previous format, with a continually improving lineup, in my opinion the best coach an SC2 team could ask for in BoxeR I don't think anyone could reasonable argue this team won't do well in the new format.
SlayerS_Alicia and SlayerS_Min are two players to watch in particular. I would have liked to include them in my team, but MC and DRG were a must, as is SlayerS for the team.
4 Byun - He looked to be on his way to becoming one of the top Terran's but after his latest losses, ostensibly due to nerves makes me think that his chances of performing in a clutch scenario for ZeNeX is very unlikely.
4 FruitDealer - Despite him being one of my favorite players, his continued lack of results since GSL Open Season 1 speaks for itself. I do not expect him to ever come back to what he was.
5 Killer - SangHo always comes out with great builds and timings, but falters in control or positioning at a key moment, causing a loss. At least in my opinion. I don't expect him to take games often in the team league, or even be played.
Okay so after some thinking I've heavily modified my team, here is my final draft.
Elite Nerds
Main Team 5 Alicia Incredible value for 5 points, will likely get a lot of wins against the weaker teams 1 BBoongBBoong Prime like to play him and I think hes probably their best zerg, good value for 1 point. 4 GuMiho Essential player for his team, also quite skilled in my opinion 5 July 5 points?? way underpriced for someone whos gonna play almost every match in such an easy group too. 5 Lyn Small team and I think hes F.UN's best korean player 8 MarineKing (captain) Consistant, strong player, can't see myself needing to trade him. 2 Puzzle Awesome player for 2 points 2 Qxc I think he will end up taking a few games for FXO 4 Prime They are in a tough group but I have confidence they will finally perform to their potential in a GSTL
Anti Team 2 BoxeR I love the emperor but hes more of a coach/mentor for slayers and will likely never play 5 GanZi Although I don't think hes that bad I think he was the best choice for 5 points. I didn't want to go too heavy on TSL players for the anti team even though I think they are mostly rubbish. 6 Trickster Bad player for 6 points
Impressed me so much in his series with IMMVP, if he plays all 3 matchups at that level he's a steal for 1 point, and at 1 point he's worth it. Also he's one of primes only good protoss iirc
MVP team is a deep team with lots of good players, but none of them strike me as an all kill type player vs this side of the bracket, which means it's going to come down to DRG to win 1-2 maybe 3 games in a row. If he doesn't get used it means his team won and i'll get a point anyway.
Leading off for FXO and he along with SHeth are their two best players imo, he showed skills in the code A qualifiers barely losing to DR freaking G so I have hopes, plus he's gotta scan the island :D
July has all kill potential every time he comes up, coming off a strong showing at dreamhack he is totally worth the 5 points. I would have made MC or DRG my captain but if something crazy happens I might need to swap either of them
Basically the same reasoning as DRG, OGS sometimes seems to go like 1-3 and rely on MC to reverse all kill or get 2-3 wins in a row which he is more than capable of, plus he's my favorite player :D
He plays random, you cannot be a super successful player by playing random, it just doesn't happen
I didn't pick any IM players because well they have 3 players who will always play each match, Losira/MVP/NesTea (No idea why one of them wouldn't) which means only one other player will be used.
Main Team 2 Ace - Good value. 3 Choya - Fou plays alot early on, and you just know he is going to be in the line-up, hes also protoss. 8 LosirA (captain) - Losira seems to be the preferred pick from IM in teamleagues, they save MVP and Nestea to mop up what Losira leaves behind which is usually very little. 2 Qxc - FXO plays first 5 weeks, he is going to be a front runner, at the very least he loses every time he shows. But he also have 5 chances of winning a game. 7 sC - FOU plays alot during the first 4 weeks, this guy is coming out, and hes doing some serious damage, I'll trade him once the 4 weeks are up. 3 Seed - Protoss from IM, chances are Losira loses to a P, and whats better than another P to go after them? 3 Sheth - same as QXC, I really dunno about this guy though, he never wows me with zerg play. 2 Tails - Value buy, im hoping he gains points and I can trade up for him later on during the season. 6 SlayerS - A no brainer for me, and also the reason i didnt pick slayers, Im seeing sweeps coming from Alicia, Ryung, MMA, and Min, as opposed to wasting points trying to bet on who is going to do the sweep, ill just pick the team.
Anti Team 4 Curious - Probably wont get picked very often and hes not a sniper of anything. 4 FruitDealer - Awful. 5 GuineaPig - Will get picked to play, will random something other than toss, will lose.
I have no strategy or any idea of the possible outcome of this combination of players in this team. Just winging it to see how things turn out. All players sound like they are capable of winning, good luck to everyone!!
I have an anti team question. Shouldn't you just pick the worst players from the worst teams, or does the anti-team also score your points when they lose? What's the scoring system for anti teams?

The same as the teams, except any points they score are subtracted from your score. Since its not possible for a player to score negative points as the worst they can get is zero so you can't gain points from your anti team. The best you can hope is they all score absolutely nothing.
Main Team 9 MC (captain) (Hence the teamname) Most successful player of all time best protoss, probably best period. 1 Cella Just needed a 1 point player, honestly. 8 DongRaeGu Fan favorite and doing extremely well in team league. 1 Hero Beat DRG 1 HuK Same team as MC, doing well lately. 1 IMHappy Couple of cool games I've seen of his. 1 Jinro Undeniably in a slump but worth 1 point for sure. 9 MMA Great drop play all around beast. 5 Old GenerationS It's about time they won with the players they have.
Anti Team 7 aLive For 7 points I doubt he'll do well. 4 FruitDealer Nothing noteworthy since GSL 1, unimpressive play. 2 YuGiOh Yugioh(series) is retarded.

You are going down bing, for stealing my nickname!!! + Show Spoiler +
MC was a must for me, Ensnare and Ace didn't take too many points and they are often played, ryung is an awesome and underrated player, sheth I'm taking a gamble on - let's see how his nerves hold up in the gstl atmosphere - supernova is also an underrated player I feel, and I think it's time for oGs to win one :D
Well i didn't take my team for best score only chose those who i think are best. And for my anti team i did take players who i believe that they will rise in future (but no so soon) and oh yeah sheth ftw
Main Team 2 CoCa I think he is better than 2 points. Should be a 3 or a 4. Therefore: easy decision! 4 Genius MVP will have to use him and I think he is pretty solid and should bring daddy some points 1 JookTo JookTo is nearly for free !!!! It's raining banelings 8 MarineKing I think the Prime team doesn't have much choice, but to send out MarineKing a lot of times and I also think, that MarineKing is one of the most solid players, when he takes on the more unknown opponents, that might be thrown at him. 8 NesTea (captain) I wanted MVP for this spot, but I lacked 1point. Anyway, the captain should be from a Team that makes it very far, as I can't trade him. An IM player is therefore an awesome choice, imo. 2 TheBest Seems to be in good shape lately and his all-in style might be used to snipe a macro player by the fOU team. 2 ViOlet Whoever wants to beat MVP has to think of a way to beat ViOlet. He will be playing. I will get points! 3 Virus I think for 3 points he is quite OK. 6 SlayerS I wasn't confident in picking a SlayerS Player, but the team itself is a good choice imo. Especially considering that you can't trade teams, better pick something solid!
Anti Team 3 Sage Who is this guy, and why is he worth 3points? 7 sC This was a tough choice, yet I think that he will be an easy target to snipe. 3 Sheth Sry, but I don't see him take on korean pros...
other thoughts: MMA is highly overrated in my eyes. MC is overrated too I think. He is really losing a lot of games lately. HuK would be a great choice, yet I don't know if he will play a single game for oGs. NaDa would have been a great choice too, he could easily be the Ace of oGs, comparing his performances with MCs... Who will be Prime's Ace? MarineKing or Polt? Startale looks weak lately... Two of their more experienced players, July and Squirtle, don't seem to be very solid.
It's close enough to the start that I don't mind posting this now. I don't think people consider enough the teams that the various players are on. Alicia and Min are the go-to race picks for Slayers, which could very well win the championship. They're going to get as much value as someone like Ryung who is good, but is on a team filled with good Terran players. MC is my captain, which I don't think many people consider, either. You want your ace to be on a solid team that wins, but not one that is going to win so often without him ever seeing play time. MVP, Nestea, and MMA lose a lot of value when you think that they probably won't see action in more than half the matches.
Keen is a bargain for 3 points, I've seen a few people pick him up, he's going to get plenty of work on MVP and is a Code-S player, and can pick up a couple wins. Speaking of bargains, Creator is going to be a workhorse for Prime, which lacks good, reliable Tosses. He just came through the Code-B qualifiers and he is bound to steal a game or two. Tassadar is another toss that will be seeing tons of work on a poor team, and is only 2 points.
Curious and Gumiho are expensive picks in that they could end up being a lot less than their worth, but they could also push me over the edge if things go their way. They're on teams that are lacking talent, so they could be seeing plenty of work, and they definitely can take games.
As far as the anti-team goes, it seems like a lot of people have found this trio that I think is the best bang for the buck. I think Rainbow and Fruitdealers are sure picks to do badly. Trickster is a tougher pick but fits the "overrated" definition in my book. I think they're definitely the best picks for the points.
MVP is absolutely the best team for the points, and has new Code A talent that gives the impression that they might have improved from last year. They could easily win the league.

MC recently won a major tournament and got 3rd at columbus...do you want him to win EVERYTHING?
Main Team 2 Ace - Good value, capable of streaks. 5 Alicia - Good value, capable of streaks. 1 Creator - Good value 1 Hero - Good value 1 HuK - I see oGs putting him out for popularity's sake after the dreamhack win but with great care against lower teams as he will get steamrolled by the better players. 8 LosirA (captain) - Easy points, impressed me more than MMA did at MLG Columbus. Would've won a straight up Bo7. Becoming more creative an decisive than Nestea. 8 NesTea - Easy points, sure thing. 2 TheStC - Needed a T, pretty solid choice on oGs. 8 Incredible Miracle - Easy points
Anti Team 4 Clide - Thinking about quitting? No motivation. 5 Lyn - Not as solid as moon. Which is saying a lot. 4 Maka - Depressed? Lack of drive. Better PRIME players.
