It's against the ToS but who cares? Nobody's been banned yet for decorative/no-ingame-advantage MPQ editing. Even MC has a custom background if I recall correctly.

@Qeet Heheh are you saying the longer we hear the music, the better we'll think of it because of memories and nostalgia? Or are you saying that as a parody of what people say when they argue that SC2's pro scene is still very young and undeveloped compared to BW, but will probably surpass where BW is today after it also gets 10+ years of life? (If so, I disagree with the parody). Anyways, WoL is the Terran's game. I hope in the next two they'll come up with better Zerg and Protoss music. The Z and P music in SC1 are way way way superior to Z and P in SC2. I mean seriously, P and Z each only have 1 track that are remotely "music" (you probably know which ones I'm talking about, for Z it's the low pulsing bass with the screeching guitars, a little similar to SC1 Zerg themes but not nearly as good, and Protoss Theme 1). The others are just ambient sounds and noises... I hope SC2 will come up with great tracks. Terran music in SC1 is also very great, and because of its nostalgia I may prefer it over SC2 Terran music, but you have to admit they did a great job with SC2 Terran music!

Playing music in the background putting stress on your computer's resources? If you're playing sc2 on that rig, it should be able to run a standard music player in the background. I don't think there's a computer that can so "barely run sc2" to the point that it can't run a music player in the background.

I don't think there's a computer that can so "barely run sc2" to the point that it can't run a music player in the background. I do a lot of multitasking, and had to remove 2GB of defective RAM the other day. So I can't really afford to have a music player open or it cuts into other things, believe it or not. Plus it's really inconvenient to have to open a music player/start/stop music to play during games. It's both fun and more convenient to have it play when you play.

Why doesn't the game have a "use BW sounds/music" by option default? Personally I prefer the BW unit/combat sounds by FAR and changing the music to the good old themes would be very nice. Or at least an option to change the whiny individual unit complaints to a universal "our forces are under attack!" voice rather than "we cannot hold!"... Anyway ![]()

? Elaborate plz http://www.mediafire.com/?1dooo7mpi9ork4q Download this MPQ-file and put here ... \ StarCraft II \ Mods \ LibertyMulti.SC2Mod \ ...here... So after puting this file 2 zerg themes, that are very ambient'ish (more like noise, than music), will be replaced with 2 zerg themes from SC1:BW. Also, after deleting this file, your music will be again fully from SC2. Term "replacing" is little wrong, because really there are nothing replaced. Only created another MPQ-file with same file structure, that overrites original files.
