Even if this is purple, it's easily the sexiest logo out there. Amazing job by Blizzard, and you. I wish they'd put an animated picture of the glowing logo in the Collector's Edition.

Ya I was also thinking they would go with red and was a bit disappointed to see purple... but honestly it doesn't really matter.

I've waited for red/orange too, but purple is good too

Purple is to correlate with the Zerg's color of th creep on the minimap (and the general hue).
But you guys know this.

Zerg is purple, sure. But Protoss is blue.
WoL is already blue though.

And for Legacy of the Void it will be...
Green? To correlate with the environmental policy of the Protoss?
Blue? To correlate with how bad the storyline was in Wings of Liberty?
Red? To correlate with how much Protoss blood is splattered everywhere by the end?
I'm counting on green, myself.
Speculation aside, that is a seriously kickass logo. I'd use it as my desktop background if I didn't already have a Skyrim one.

i have tried the same with the logo existor made (the one without background) and added the original purple from the trailer to it. existor just changed the color of the blue lightenings from the wings of liberty logo. btw, he made an excellent job!
