MrCon I directly responded to your GSL allegations on the last Weapon of Choice. JUST FOR YOU, yet you continue to spew this BS. I am disappoint. Oops, I missed your post it seems, I thought I checked carefully. Checked the thread a few days after posting but missed it somehow, sorry. Typing this I looked for your post and I still don't find it somehow, my post was there http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=9733588 Even looked in the LO3 thread, found my other post on the subject, and can't find the answer. Is it in another thread ? Anyway I watched the beginning of yesterday's show before watching Jinro (paused the show before the "drama" part) and I have to say that the segment with incontrol and you was very interesting (the training talk). Between this and the talk during last WOC (or was it LO3 ?) that's a lot of very nice stuff to know. WoC You mean Wheat's answer is in the WoC thread or that the talk was in WoC (and not LO3) ? Your post is confusing :p

Well, on the bright side I have something interesting to listen to now. In fact I hadn't missed the whole show, just the beginning.

I'm sorry you think I'm a troll, that was really not my intention. I more or less knew my assumption was wrong, but oh well, I posted it still. I really not asking you you talk about GSL all day (or even to dedicate time to it), but as I like hearing you opinion on things (or your guests' opinions), I was just frustrated about these 2 or 3 events that I posted about. And frustrated people post a lot of dumb things, I can attest that as a regular live report thread maker :D I want to emphasis that again, I didn't want to troll or hate, usually I just don't listen or watch what I don't like, so my point was not saying you're bad (for ESPORTS) or whatever other negative thing. I thought perhaps some of your sponsors perhaps didn't want you to talk about the GSL. Anyway, sorry about my last post, it was an honest mistake. And now we're purchase history brothers, so it's all cool <3 (I have not missed one episode of WoC or LO3 for a year and I managed to miss the one where I make an appearance, that's something)

Does it change anything? No, it doesn't change anything, but there's just so many lies and so much politicking going on in the real world that I lament its entry into my recreational activities. ^^ Unfortunately that's the nature of the beast. Anytime business or money is involved, where personal image can affect people's ability to pay bills, there will always be a certain amount of public maneuvering. What EG did today however should totally dispel any notion that they did anything wrong. in my opinion they did everything right and have been made into the scape goat. They are an easy target because certain other notable folks in the community have some specific beef with EG and a lot of people parrot the negativity without ever exploring what is really going on. The good news for you my man, is you can so easily side step all this nonsense that there is no need to fret or lose sleep. You really think they did EVERYTHING right? You think initially lying to the community about the issue in the first place was right? Sorry if lying does matter to me. Sorry if someone outright lies to me (me as part of the community), I get offended and upset. I don't feel I deserve all information all the time. Hell, I don't feel I deserve to see all information EVER. But I don't feel I EVER deserve to be lied to, by a company/person/robot/politician/WHATEVER. If it comes into the limelight you did in fact lie to a mass, such as what happened here, I feel a response like this is extremely warranted by the community and I don't feel it's any negative will being exemplified because some "notable folk" having some other beef with them. I think we were fine with EG until we saw a bullshit excuse to pull iNcontroL from a show we love, and then get proof that we were right later. If you're fine to being lied to about any issue ever I feel really sorry for you, thankfully this community doesn't seem to enjoy it much. Once again I will broken record this: EG didn't lie about anything. They just didn't give you all the details. And guess what? They don't have to either. They told us the truth as far as we needed to know it and to think otherwise is yet again, spewing forth manufactured lies created by certain community members that already have an established bias against EG. In other words dude, with your line of absolute bullshit, you are towing someone elses agenda. What I'd like to see before people declare false information as fact is just some tiny effort on their part to even confirm the nonsense they continue to spout. For example, no one can seem to link me where Incontrol or JP said incontrol was leaving and money WAS NOT in any way a motivating factor. Hell they can't even link to a tangent source like scoots saying this. All we got was an image from scoots telling incontrol there is no problem with him being on SOTG as a guest. So guess what, all this outrage, this fake emo bravado, it's all an act...kind of like when an eight year old gets his favorite video game taken away, and as the act reaches its climax it becomes a temper tantrum. Fortunately though, the eight year old's temper tantrum doesn't have the ability to spread and financially harm companies. Your irresponsible spreading of deceit (crazily enough) does.

Yep, that's what i meant by "the romantic era". I remember in one of the more recent SotG episodes when they were discussing the "political correctness" in simple posts on the forum and how some people are just interested in a prefabricated "image" then actual true representation of facts/ opinions. I remember LiquidTyler was absolutely gutted and i felt the exact same way. This is just one more reason why i love Team Liquid (the team/ management/ players/ forum) so much, and why i.......don't feel the same way for EG. TL fighting! ![]()

With Incontrol, Idra and the other hosts still on SOTG promoting onemoregame.tv the site would certainly have the added viewers today to more than make up for ITG. Did you even listen to the explanation? They did make a counter offer, it just didn't work out as they planned.

The vast majority of us enjoy the products both ItG and SotG, both DJWheat and JP, and we can't do that while they're struggling to put down the constant conspiracy theories and drama-mongering.

I can think of numerous marketing opportunities EG has in the current environment they didn't need to dismantle SOTG to make more money. Most of their argument doesn't even make sense. Why did Idra participate in TSL3 when it's clearly sponsored by teamliquid? Who care's if a show is sponsored by soundblaster, having access to that audience with your people is still an infinitely better choice than what was done here.

Who care's if a show is sponsored by soundblaster, having access to that audience with your people is still an infinitely better choice than what was done here. You are making a lot of unfounded claims, when did anyone say that they tried to censor and control the show? Tyler said that all sponsorship deals are not created equal which is true but we don't know enough to be making those sorts of judgements about censorship unless you have insider info which I doubt. Of course Idra competed in a tournament that has sponsorship conflicts between his teams sponsors and the tourney's sponsors, that's normal or else registering players for a tournament would be a nightmare, don't be ridiculous. Being on a talk show is different because Incontrol would not be competing as a player, he would just be on the show who would display their sponsors much more prominently than any shoutout would cover. Of course EG's sponsors didn't like this. EG seems to have made reasonable accommodations and may have omitted more than we would have liked in these discussions but it turns out so did JP. Sometimes things don't work out and I applaud EG for coming out and having a discussion on this. Having the Executive Director come out to directly address an issue is about as much as they can do. Not wanting to discuss what JP is doing with SotG because it is not their place is totally reasonable. JP not wanting to share every detail of things that may never happen is equally reasonable. Also you can in the future expect every action made by any company to be "business-minded," they are a business, you should keep that in mind.
