STOP BEING SO NECK BEARDY <3. For the record I appreciate your attempt to try to salvage the discussion as it was flying all over the place. It was a Herculean task to try to make a coherent argument happen. Good show.

DjWheat: No, the number of apples have actually increased but there are less in each single basket. Dertiny: Oh really?! Well ask basket number 4 then if it has more apples in it! maybe because your from Sweden you didnt understand my basic english.... Destiny said "Less people are watching SC2" and Wheats response was "More people are watching twitchtv and video games" Destiny was talking about SC2 and Wheat said "but more people are watching other games" he didnt even address what Steven said... I am not saying that Wheat was wrong. I am not saying that spreading an equal number across a greater variety = less. I am saying, Steven was talking about SC2 stream counts. Wheat wasnt. Steven wasnt saying "nobody watches twitch" he was saying "people arent watching SC2 on twitch as much" which is true,, and Wheat ignored what he said, just like you did. Congrats on being unable to comprehend what both I and Steven said.

STOP BEING SO NECK BEARDY no one's attributing the insults solely to you, I can accept the excuse that your initial rant was hyperbolic in nature but not in sentiment. however, the only thing that kept destiny from coming off like a complete clown was yours and idra's willingness to engage on his level of histrionics; now his eternal supporters have a stronger cross to mount him on and your collective argument was weakened as a result. metacomments aside I totally agreed with your position, don't let the reddit circle-jerk get you down. in fact, don't go there at all! also, destiny is the obvious figurehead for the disenfranchised and generally negative aspect of this community on so many levels it needs not be elaborated on when the production we all just watched has such an easy time spotting and calling it. "hardly the only person thinking something" isn't an argument for the validity of the actual goddamn argument. Because because streaming is becoming more and more popular and easier to do more people are watching streams in general but there are also WAY MORE STREAMS. There are less viewers on sc2 pro player streams because many of those viewers are also watching other things, this is the fact for all streaming, streaming in general is growing but being more spread out so everyone gets less views at any one point. They might still have the same number of followers but people might tune in and watch one game and then watch a halflife speedrun on another stream instead of watching only a player stream for 5 hours straight.

Ya he responded with irrelevant information. If I say "Baseball viewership is down" Saying "but sports viewership as a whole is up" is not even acknowledging what I said. I am speaking for the viewership of a single isolated sport. I am not interested in the viewership of other sports. I am currently discussing the viewership of baseball. This is the same as saying "Man basketball sucks" and someone responds with "No way, football is fucking awsome" editing but dont want people to think im changing my arguement... but instead making a more accurate analogy. "Baseball viewership is down" "No, sports viewership as a whole is up, not down. You have no idea what your talking about. i work for ESPN and i KNOW that more people are watching sports now, than at this point last year"

first off i dont know when or why incontrol became such a huge clown (then again i guess he always was) but it was completely uncalled for when he basically insulted the hell out of destiny before he came on the show. the next stupid and completely uncalled for move he did was get up IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DEBATE and high 5 idra. like seriously? that was pretty much the essence, heart, and soul of a circle jerk the moment incontrol did that. and DJ wheat? well lets just say i could literally see the veins popping from the guys head and neck because of how hard he was screaming. im not trying to defend destiny since of course he handled it in the worst possible way you can handle a situation like that, but i feel to believe he got baited pretty hard. basically the entire argument was a bunch of 5 year olds screaming at the top of there lungs to each other trying to get a word in. "LALALLA I CANT HEAR YOU LISTEN TO MY ARGUMENT LALALA CANT HEAR U" thats all it was, which is both hilarious and very sad.

I'M THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON SO I SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT, AND THAT GET'S ME IN TROUBLE" Seriously? You wanted to avoid drama, and you come up with this shit when you have no idea what the casual gamer wants. Do you really think you can speak for all the casual gamers out there? Destiny certainly can't speak for us either, but when you tried to make yourself the voice of us (similar to what steven did), you just made yourself look completely retarded. It pains me to see you act like this when you're obviously smarter than this stupid bullshit.

I never cited destiny as the downfall of an entire e-sport, leave that straw man alone! let alone we're moving on to whether sc2 is in a decline worth doomsaying for at all, which is the result of believing the same false dilemma that destiny attempted to shovel off on iTG: if LoL wins, we lose. it's not that binary, there's room for both genres and they serve different viewerships that won't necessarily be co-opted by competition from the other genre. the rest of your post is pretty absurd, don't think I'm ever going to truly understand where antagonism like this originates from.

"But casual players dont even watch these tournaments!" should have gotten the timestamp... Riot called... and their casual game has a larger tournament viewership than any esport currently... Maybe you shouldnt spend an entire episode saying "Well LoL gets more viewers because its a more casual game" and follow up with "Casual players dont watch tournaments" Even if you dont agree with the "The Sky is falling and SC2 is Dying" you have to acknowledge the fact that, SC2 will never again be the "flagship" or the "dominant force in esports" which is what everyone wanted it to be...

Though it might have come across to some people that they went over the top to Destiny, let me remind you that Destiny started this whole thing with an over the top message about how Starcraft 2 is SCREWED unless the things he suggested come true. Personal attacks came on both sides even if Destiny was out numbered. You are allowed to get heated in a debate, otherwise debates would be boring. The bottom line is that everyone want's to see Blizzard be more active but just have different approaches on doing something.
