Maybe it's because so many people use quotes without context like you just did.

I did watch the show, and I do understand the context. It is possible and desirable to argue in a cool-headed way even when people are disagreeing with you. So, once again, I don't think this is an excuse. Maybe it is an EXPLANATION of Destiny's behavior, but it is not a JUSTIFICATION. The fact stands that he was just yelling nonsense. All that I am saying is that not listening to others, constantly yelling, and failing to make sense are not desirable.
After my first post, you assumed that I was 'ignorant.' After my second post, you insinuate that I am a product of the sensationalist media who is incapable of paying attention to context or thinking critically. I would like to suggest that you might want to avoid jumping to conclusions when you don't have very much information about your interlocutor.
Note that you are insulting me but I am not flying off the handle and shitting the bed a la Destiny.

Watch the vod again. Where was my context incorrect?
They said "lets talk about what destiny wrote" and when they gave Geoff the chance to give his grand opinion he said "Destiny is a fucking idiot" where was my context wrong? You want the time stamp?

I would argue the sentiments circulated between inc/idra and destiny were a hundred times lamer. djwheat was just loud and impotent, which is par for the course even though he had more interesting, knowledgeable insider information about streaming numbers/LoL than destiny.
unrelated, thank you fionn for actually contributing new and interesting material to think about. I take full responsibility for my contribution of stupid gossip.

the point of his tirade was not to call destiny an idiot, they specifically said he was a smart guy if a little misguided on this specific issue. the phrase I recall is "the stupidest thing he's ever said", which I sincerely hope you understand is not the same action.

yeah clearly that invalidates his position or the idea that he might have a better perspective on the cohabitation of the two e-sports than destiny

Destiny: Less people are watching SC2
DjWheat: WRONG! More people watch all things on twitchtv than before.
Didnt even acknowledge the question at all. im at roughly 1:20:00 in the vod if anyone wants to check...
He didnt acknowledge SC2 streams specifically at all, because Idra, Geoff, and PainUser ALL would have agreed with what Destiny said, but Wheat heard the question and substituted his own

This just reminds me of that Halo podcast that went and talked shit about SC2 and there was huge drama here and on r/starcraft, only this time it's ITG bitching about MOBAs.

Want to be more ashamed of a grown man than ever before previously in your entire life. tune into 1:27:00 of the vod... to see a grown man throwing a bitch fit on the internet... wow. so professional from the guy who is always trying to convince every1 to act professional for the future of esports.

Wow did no one take elementary school math? So if I have 100 apples and I divide them evenly and put into 10 baskets. Then someone takes out all of the apples and doubles the number of apples, adds 20 extra baskets and spreads the apples out evenly in all of the baskets.
Destiny: The number of apples have gone down. DjWheat: No, the number of apples have actually increased but there are less in each single basket. Dertiny: Oh really?! Well ask basket number 4 then if it has more apples in it!

fixed that for you
every other person involved in the discussion was more comfortable with the concept of league/the MOBA genre

Painuser definitely came across the best in this. Destiny definitely ended on a bad note and could have been a lot calmer throughout, but Incontrol was just as bad. Do you really need to constantly insult Destiny throughout the entire thing?

so destiny, destiny and pre-expansion woes/boredom with metagame/destiny?

I didn't insult destiny the entire time. So tired of people being able to just post lies on forums. Yeah eyah you get ignored and nobody replies but fuck you.
I was insulting during my rant which was hammed to all fuck up. He then did the same thing during all of his rants where he injected personal insults yet I get all the credit?
ALSO what the FUCK. ONLY on the internet would a fucking high five be anything other than a stupid fucking joke. I DON'T ACTUALLY HIGH FIVE GUYS. I Haven't since highschool when I played football. STOP BEING SO NECK BEARDY

Either way, I watched destiny rant off on his stream afterwards but after he calmed down. He apologized to his streamers on how he acted and did comment on the Hi5 that incontrol gave to idra. I want to ask everyone a simple question...
Which pro player do you support and how are they supporting you?
In my eyes as a casual gamer who has only played sc2 for the campaign and was once a first place diamond (my only achievement of season 1, where no one played it and I played constantly until I realized I had a life to tend to, though I am not saying pro players do not have lives as playing the game is part of their life.)
But I wanted to point out that destiny is fighting for us, yes he calls the game "shit" because please dont disagree when I say that we dont have the creativity of custom maps that we once had in SCBW or even WC3.
I miss cat and mouse, bgh, fastest possible, diplomacy. Call me a newb, cause I am but a couple of years later and there is no significant improvements for us? I really do hope SC HOTS comes up with a better resolution for the mess WOTL has made.
In part I side with destiny because he fights for the casual players and attracting more players to SC2. Though EG has made their impact on E-Sports I can't help but notice that EG spoils their players

I think the thing that needs to be kept in mind the most is that personal streaming and tournaments need to be looked at very differently when it comes to tracking viewers. Streaming as a player is not going to ever be a very stable business because of how easy it is to stream content. When DjWheat says that viewers on streams are growing but being spread out more he is not saying that now there is LoL and Dota 2 and they are taking over viewers. He is talking about ALL streaming, every minor stream with 5-10 viewers each, all of the content from all kinds of different games, people streaming beta's of various games, 8 bit games, playthroughs of rpg's etc etc. Professional players will still be able to attract viewers to their streams but you have to do something special if you have to keep them high, demuslim is a good example of someone who has increased his viewers over time because he comments his games, he does analysis and re-watches replays, he answers questions. The guys who only have music and play ladder will cap out much earlier in views.
More content allows people the luxury of being selective. Back in the day I used to watch every single gsl match, every code a and code s match and every day9 daily for example, I watched it all because it was new and everything was shiny. Things has not turned worse though in any way, the opposite is the case. Back then I used to watch the bad content like terrible code A games and it was still amazing just because it was new but now with so much content I can spend my time only on the top content. Instead of closely following 20 different streamers I pretty much only watch terrans now (since I play terran) and I only watch specific ones that I really enjoy. I only watch the Day9 dailies where the topic appeals to me and I only watch code s GSL and sometimes skip over uninteresting code S games.
But the thing is I still spend the same number of hours on watching sc2 content as I did back when I watched every code A game, I have just spread my viewing out but topped it off. The result of this would be that all of those things I view have in a sense lost views but sc2 has not.
