Shields don't regenerate in battle though, and the kind of EMP usage that I was talking about is when you EMP right at the beginning (or right before) a battle - meaning they don't have a chance to regen. I think QXC mentioned it once on the daily or something that he got ghosts early in his drop harass openings because it does a guaranteed 240 damage with the one spell - and this only compounds in the late game.

Wow, blizzard really hates air units stacking...
but air units still stack if you issue them to move somewhere or attack some target, right?
Else that would be pretty bad for mutalisks.

I hope they notice that the Thor anti-air attack becomes ever more useless with that kind of nerf, but then they probably hate the Thor altogether because they give it back the energy without any method of using it apart from a 150 energy ability. The stupid thing is they even have energy without having the upgrade to use the strike cannon (just like BCs).

This kind of remark might be relevant if Medivacs had AOE heal and would heal all bio in range. Since they only heal one target at a time you cant really compare it to shield regeneration which happens for all units individually (and which doesnt cost 100/100 for every few units to have it in the first place).

Well, to be fair, Infested Terran usually take longer to spawn than a decent player takes to notice them. And if the Z player has 4-5 infestors away from his army, that is a huge risk for the army and for the infestors themselves.

Shields can regenerate, true, but realize the implication of your statement. If a Protoss invests in a battle, gets hit by EMP, and decides to withdraw just to regenerate his shields, imagine the colossal loss of units because Terran will have concussive shells and superior mobility. Solid EMPs would eliminate the chance of Forcefield too. I just don't like how EMP strips Protoss of every aspect of their strategy in every situation. You're right, you can't "kill" with Ghosts, but they require far less investment (2-3 Ghosts vs 7-8 HTs) and one good feedback does not equal one good EMP.

I don't like Forcefields stripping Every Race of every aspect of their strategy in every situation either. Yo tosses got your buffs this patch we got ours, and nerfs 1.3.3 probably going live today so no good complaining

We both know that's not true. Never does it cross my mind that since there's Forcefields in the battle, Protoss auto-wins. It always comes out almost dead even, even with the brokeness of Forcefields. Not complaining about the change, just explaining the Ghost/HT dynamic. Only thing I'll complain about is the uncompensated Warpgate nerf that was meant to fix PvP but will probably do more damage to the other matchups.

It's not the stacking while attacking their are trying to get rid of. It's the stationary stacking to hide the number of units.

I think it's kind of stupid but whatever.

I totally agree, though maybe they want the patch to get some immediate 'main-stream' publicity to it? I have no idea what I just said means... it sounded right in my mind.

This is pretty terrible on Blizzards part.

This ofc assumes that both the GSL and TSL have talked to Blizzard about this and they have still decided to release the patch before them.

It really hurts the legitimacy of those 2 finals, imo, since neither are mirrors and both will be greatly affected by the changes.
