At the same time we do see an increase in online tournaments with decent prize pool in the SC2 scene. I don't know how active Blizzard's antihack efforts are but a simple solution to me seems to be:
Record a FPVod with a camera from each player's/entrant's prospective (behind the shoulder showing keyboard/mouse/screen. A lot of players have shown the ability to use a webcam so while annoying it could be a decent solution. I believe it could be streamed at low quality (less taxing) and still be a nearly perfect anti-cheat measure. Would you like to see this become a standard for online events?
I am just wondering what other people think about this, if anti-hacking measures need to be taken or exactly if this is even an issue. It's clearly a sensitive subject and obviously one the community has dealt with before.
So are anti-cheat measueres needed? Are there enough lan events to "out" the difference in play? Is there even enough of a reward to risk being banned from basically everything if caught?
