Also I was comparing the fact that Americans are commentating everywhere and that we put up with it. One change in that and bam everyone outside of SEA complains. Agree 100%, it's this OMG IT NEEDS TO BE AMERICAN attitude that gets you shafted with shit like Skins, Office, Reddwarf and the IT crowd remakes.

A lot of people have been saying that she could improve over the course of a gsl season, and it's true that her lack of game knowledge could get better, but I don't think it's reasonable to say her accent will change or that she will somehow gain a smooth and pleasant caster voice during one month. Those are things that take years to change.

We put up with American accents for EVERYTHING, even the god dam Australian Tennis Open has an American commentator. Get over the fact that you are going to maybe have to strain you're precious ears a little bit to understand what she is saying because she is a great caster and if she doesn't get this spot it will be total bullshit. GOM if this post is about Kelly not getting the spot then that is a fucking disgrace on you're part. Do not project your views upon others - I'm another oceanic person and I have trouble understanding her poor casting and I spend all day socializing with Australians. You also have to consider the fact that straining to understand a caster is one of the biggest drawbacks ever - they are there to supplement the game and if they are detracting from the quality of the experience by hampering a majority's ability to understand what's going on, then they are NOT a good caster. You are asking a majority audience to make-do with a substandard caster because of your own personal beef with Americans. Are you trying to murder interest in Starcraft as a video game? If the representation of a professional caster for one of the biggest events in the world is someone who infact hampers the experience, then it reflects very poorly upon GSL and Starcraft as a whole.

With that being said I am not sure why the thread about Kelly is at the "Community News" section. Seems like Hot_Bid is not online right now. Try Chill, he just made a new thread there. O: On a side note, new GOM guy needs an icon! Seems to be a lot more of you guys that can speak English than I originally thought. Hope you all continue posting around here and dont get turned away from the overreactions to some things. It really is refreshing to have you guys around taking part of the community. Edit: Thanks for translating an interview for us and hopefully your announcement soon cools some heads.

Those are things that take years to change. You misunderstand me. What I mean by 'work on her weaknesses' does mean her knowledge, co-operation with her casting partner and controlling her speech during intense times in the game. I'm not saying for her to work on things like her accent, because that's stupid to suggest, as you said, it takes way longer than one GSL season to work on an accent. Ok first off socialising with Australians isn't going to help you understand someone from Singapoore. Secondly, I'm not pushing and view on any one I'm simply saying that she is a great caster and that an ASIAN tournament has picked an ASIAN caster and people should not be so narrow minded as to say THIS IS RIGHT AND NOTHING ELSE IS. Thirdly I love Tasteless and to all the people saying Kellys game knowledge is lacking... You obviously mute the stream every second time Tasteless talks because its usually something wrong, however entertaining it is. Lastly... You are from NZL.. Do you views even count?

I usually hang around on gomtv.net but I will try to visit as much as I can.

GOM if this post is about Kelly not getting the spot then that is a fucking disgrace on you're part. You seem angry. Just because you're a fan of someone doesn't mean you should blindly defend them, there are good points made in this thread. GSL is the biggest sc2 tournament for now, it's important for them not to settle with subpar casters. Quite frankly there are a lot of casters and there are many that are more qualified than Kellymilkies. AskJoshy comes to mind.

Come to think of it, that Kelly might be trolling all of us!! sif GomTV gonna sign up someone like her lol. i think she along with TB and everyone could be larfing at this two threads atm.. or GomTV did really employed Kelly, but she stuffed it up with twitter which backfired big time and GomTV has excuse to terminate her contract. Anyways, GSL is next week peeps! anything can happen, i already got my premium pass! :D can't wait for some Singlish PWNAGE!!!! lol

This has nothing to do with right and wrong. The most important issue people are complaining about is that they don't understand what she's saying. I've caught up a little and listened to her dota casts, as well as some SC2, and honestly I don't understand what she's saying part of the time.

After the censor of Jinro interview about the soundproof-ability (is that a word?) then this? Makes you wonder how trust-worthy is GOM T_T
