That's the first thing I thought too. =)
Regardless, good luck to you Spades, I hope you get to train up and prove yourself.

Having seen Spades play in numerous tournaments and on his livestream (granted recently he's been playing on a laptop with sub-par internet connectivity), I think most people would agree he's a very talented sc2 player. The only thing that is going to keep him out of code A after this next season is consistency. At the GSL qualifying tournament with hundreds of contestants, consistency is probably the most important aspect of a player's game until you get to bo3's/bo5's. Since Spades has taken this big step to move out to Korea, he's undeniably going to be practicing his heart out, so it's just a matter of time until he builds a more consistent game. Until then though, code A is out of his reach.

learn to read, if the player has a R next to there name they are a hacker, otherwise it's just a player database.

Go Spades, foreigners FTW !!
Hope you the best for Code A qualification

It must have changed since I've last used it.
Before when I searched my own name it never came up despite uploading hundreds of replays.

Love seeing foreigners in korea! GL !

Artosis just tweeted that Spades lost 0-2 in his Code A preliminaries
|
so is spades out entirely then? thats too bad

Getting into Code A via this tournament is probably pretty brutal considering the quality of some of the players not in GSL that you see on HuK's stream, but also in the other Korean tournies (ST_Bomber anyone?). Therefore, you cannot really conclude much about failing to qualify, but he should be proud of himself for giving it a shot. You gotta be in it to win it!

Who's spades?? Lol. GO SPADES!!! :D

While it might be true, you also have to realize that a majority of the big names are already qualified for Code A or Code S, thus leaving a pool of lesser known/lesser skilled players.

No surprise he got 2-0'd in the first round, playing in korea for less than a month, give him more time!

0-2 in the first round... ok maybe next time.
