In the opening ceremony of the finals he said that he'd change his name if he won. He didn't win, so he's not changing his name yet. Not a big deal.

SlayerSBoxeR is a, if not the, SC1 legend. He's doing a come back in SC2 and everyone is tuning in to see how he does. Then this kid shows up. Put yourself in SlayerS' shoes... That cheesy kid:
1- Uses your name (At first it's cute, but now it's just riding the popularity wave of the original one)
2- Uses your race
3- Is better than you
4- Plays in the same tournament
5- Most importantly, doesn't plan on changing name any time soon

I have no doubt that FoxeR chose this name out of respect. I am merely saying that, at some point, he has to move on and make a name for himself and I am certain that SlayerSBoxeR feels the same way for (some of) the reasons I listed. That guy cannot honestly be thinking he has to win GSL in order to be worthy of a new ID... I won't argue about this anymore, as I guess you have to draw the line for yourself as to when this stops being cute and starts being annoying.

If SLayerSBoxeR had a problem with BoxeR's name, all he would have to do is ask him politely to change it. BoxeR would then change it in an instant, but SlayerSBoxeR obviously does not mind, so you can all stfu now.

Don't Koreans identify the players by their real names anyhow? At least that is how it was in the BW pro scene. The commentators there pretty much just say the players real life name at all times. I can see how keeping the name BoxeR wouldn't be such a big deal for Koreans.
