As a feedback I could suggest more SC2 stuff ^^ I kinda hoped there would be more tonight :o Because this show is more akin to Entertainment Tonight or E-Star Daily than it is an Esports show

Shows like this which jump from one niche to another, are just diluting their appeal. Because these topics aren't appealing if you have no vested interest, it's best to have much longer sections devoted to each niche, with genuine presenters who have an interest in game, and advertise the sections individually. As this proves, people are willing to stay up to watch a segment about their game, just moving off to another topic is just throwing those viewers away.
The ones who want to watch are the ones who don't need introducing to the topic, they want depth, and can see through, and get mildly offended, when people show 'fake enthusiasm' for their hobby.

What was day9's segment mainly about? Anyone know where I will be able to find it or is it even worth it?
|
Im sorry but these hosts are not funny at all and just comes across as akward and trying too hard.
Watching anyone play pool and fussball as part of a gaming segment? I mean really?

Anywhere I can catch day9's segment?

The report itself seems to have a good production value, but it seems as if the hosts are just trying to cater to an immature crowd. Some of the segments try for something a bit more serious, like the report on EA caving to censorship, but when it goes back to the hosts, they quickly make me want to stop watching by having nothing to say and quickly moving on to their usual routine.
The fact that they couldn't remember what Day9's show was named to announce it correctly afterward was also a bit annoying, but at least they remembered 3 countries where players were coming from (even if they didn't listen too carefully to know that Idra wasn't Korean, but has just been living there), and eventually did stumble into the correct name/address, and even the time (though not the timezone).
I enjoy playing probably half the games that they talk about, but I couldn't watch that show routinely if I had to suffer through the hosts to get to the actual content. Especially when the content is then followed up with a lame joke, like crayon drawings done by the hosts. I want to support pro-gaming in general where I can, but I don't hate myself enough to watch that show with any kind of regularity.

This is how I wanted to word it. More in depth shows rather than a little bit of everything. I don't follow Halo much but if it was done by a person that played it competitively, knew his shit and talked about what excited him I would probably enjoy it.

Okay, less bashing more constructive criticism.
First of all, MLG is about competitive gaming. As in, high level play. People don't care about casual games that just came out- (Gears of war, wtf?) they are interested in the PLAYERS. I don't give a shit about COD, but if you show me the teams, how theyre doing, maybe players and sick videos, I'd pay attention. Customizing guns? Who gives a fuck? Guitar Hero? Really?

It's not worth it. He talked about what players are going to be competing at MLG and a little bit about their history. Nothing you didn't already know. He was talking for about 3 minutes.

Every single person complaining in this thread should be atleast be warned. Do any of you ignorant kids understand that MLG's main game is NOT starcraft 2? MLG is a console based league with interest in expanding to the PC market. Obviously appealing to the basement dwelling nerds and 30+ year audience of Starcraft is different compared to the actual Jocky and outgoing console gamers who are much more into culture and alot more outgoing.
Seriously learn your place in MLG and don't complain. I know its hard concept to get ahold of but starcraft is not a big game AT ALL compared to console gaming. Once you can get 1024 people signing up for a live tournament event and a following of a million console gamers you can start complaining, but for now stop being arrogant pricks~

Yea, I wasn't too big on the hosts. I need a little bit more intelligence in order to really get behind these guys.

lol some console scrub is butthurt.
You clearly didn't pop your collar high enough this morning.
Also just because more casual players bought Halo than Starcraft doesn't mean the competitve community is as passionate or as dedicated as the Starcraft Community. While Halo may have a larger userbase, Starcraft has a far larger user base that actually cares about e-sports and competition. Not to mention that Starcraft as an international audience...
