strat = basically I wanna do a planetary fortress contain on a shared base map and an arial viking contain with ghosts using nukes whenever they try to break out and then a final mass baneling destruction. should be fun

Just played a few games with some friends. Mass queens has potential but it gets absolutely smashed by any ground units with superior range. Also really really hard to attack before creep is spread and that can take ages on some maps. My other game I went mass pheonix and was pretty effective though the bug was very annoying.
Its hard to resist the temptation to build a zealot when someone was proxy gate/ cannon rushing. needless to say I lost that game. Its very hard early game if no-one is going tier 1 lol, static defence is a must. Also, your team really needs some mobile anti air. queens/ghosts dont cut it.

Ghosts appear to work terribly.
If you're only building Ghosts you can't get a sizeable army, and when you call it out everybody builds a billion turrets and it's hard to nuke effectively.
Mass vikings appears to be pretty solid, though. And fun!

i'd be willing to bet this is situational. if your unit is mass broodlords, but your team doesnt have shit for anti air then you can leave a few as corruptors at least until the threat is gone. same for dark templar. if your opponents have massed mutas, im sure he wont mind seeing a fatty ball of archons to chew them up. as far as banelings, id expect your primary attack to be banelings, but you'll obviously need something else to kill your opponent with since you wont have any attacking units.

I think ghosts would work well with someone massing zealot or zergling or marine to donate gas :D
