They have delivered the matches, the quality is not terrible, the casting is IMO good enough, and they have done their best to ensure all matches are done.

I mean its not professional level yet, but I am not going to say they have done a terrible job just because a few mistakes that chances are that they will iron out as they go.

Thats exactly what was criticised in your post ... because "delivering games, not terrible quality, good enough casting" dont add up to FANTASTIC ...

good, bad, great,fantastic, excellent are kinda like subjective adjectives. To me they have done a fantastic job, I may not be holding them to such a high standard as you, but so far I have enjoyed NASL and that is what makes it fantastic for me.

I think people on this site really, really underestimate how difficult it is to broadcast 3 to 4 hours of original and new content, 5 days a week, with players from all over the world.

That's on par with the average TV Network.

While the NASL has had some technical errors and programming glitches, the amount of criticism (and entitlement) from the Team Liquid community towards the NASL is truly ludicrous.

In particular, I find the comparisons to Dreamhack to be laughable. That's a weekend LAN event localized in a single location. Quite frankly, it's relatively basic compared to what NASL is trying to do.

Tylers hotkey system is pretty good

I use

R - Factories - qwe factory units
T - Staports - qweas Starport units
F - barracks - asdq barracks units
G - Command Center - SE units

with f1 - main base location , f2 natural, f3 third, f4 fourth

1-6 units

Q - patrol
S - Stim

It's all wierd at first but moving buildings/etc to letters, and keeping 1-6 for units is pretty nice.

Also the macro is slightly more comfortable in terms of not moving fingers/up/down normally.

I dont see why he changed Build from B as your thumb can press B pretty easily.

I also changed space to next idle worker.

I dont know how anyone can call it fantastic, even the creators know its not up to snuff. Geoff sounds really dissapointed in how its gone so far and i would say hes still more enthusiastic then most. Anyone who thinks they did fantastic so far is just a fanboy who would say that no matter how poorly things went and i put no stock in their oppinions. It wasnt fantastic get over it.

I have a mancrush on iNcontroL and Gretorp and it saddens me because people behind the scenes are letting them down. It just doesn't look like there are experienced professionals working on it.

After hearing how the players are dealing with all the tournaments time wise, I had to wonder how Incontrol is dealing with his practice time now that he's casting the NASL. I know Artosis felt like he couldn't play competitively while he was casting both code S and code A, but back then I think he was casting like 6 hours a day with code S and code A on the same day? I wonder how much time a day the NASL takes out of his schedule.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

He still has to bind the buildings to the hotkeys. I think he said it like that because he specifically picked certain hotkeys to be for certain buildings, like he had the robo in mind for Z when he picked Z, rather than a system where 4 can be robo or 4 can be stargate for example.

edit: 1 more question: When is the alternative hotkey used over the primary? Messing with it all and some keys getting unbound. (I'm trying to bind a control group to Q, but the Queen gets unbound. Is there any way for the Q = Queen only stand when the hatchery is selected?
